Great for a pub meal, we had lunch here and the food was surprisingly good food for an average price and in a remote location.

We had the best time at the NYE celebrations at the Cow Bay Hotel. Unbelievable Tassie oysters, Moreton Bay Bugs, Prawns and mussels...and that was just the cold selection. Wild Barra oven baked in butter, and an amazing selection of hot dishes - every one delicious...and then there was the fabulous selection of desserts. I was too full by then,... More

We are so over whelmed by your response, and appreciate your feed back on our staff. They all had done a wonderful job and long day and could still smile at the end of the night. Hope to see you in the near future. More

We stopped here on a whim to avoid the peak hour ferry crossing and were rewarded with one of the best meals of our trip. The bucket of prawns were so plump and fresh and delicious. The crumbed steak was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside and the gravy that went with it reminded me of the... More

This is a place for people who like to drink beer while they eat. Typical standard country pub food. Plain and simple but well cooked and tasty. Hamburgers and chips, fish and chips, chicken schnitzel and chips. You could also get chips on their own. The staff were friendly and the place was clean. Good for a quick no frills... More

Good food at a reasonable price. The service was good and we didn't wait long for the food to arrive. My pie was full of meat and very tasty. My only comment might be that it arrived on the plate still in its foil container. It gave the impression that it came from the supermarket. Still I forgave them for... More

The hotel has new managers so it will be good to see what they do with it. Our evening meals in the bistro - standard pub fare - were enjoyable. Lacking a little atmosphere at the moment (no background music etc) but food was good, service was friendly. Good luck to the new team!

We were advised food can take 45min to arrive so we thought we'd get there early to avoid this happening. When we ordered dinner there was only a handful of locals in the pub so we thought it wouldn't take long to get food, how wrong we were!! After waiting for almost 45min our food arrived. I had a steak... More

Just average but not many places to stay in that town. Clean, no bath soap or shampoo. Of course no hairdryer. Breakfast box cereal, milk, juice, toast and instant coffee.
