Sorrisniva served the best ever supper with local produce - reindeer, elk, seafood, fish - all cooked to perfection. We are in awe.

We travelled to the Sorrisniva expecting the highlight to be our stay in the Igloo hotel, but we were absolutely blown away by the amazing food and service at the Sorrisniva restaurant. All four of us chose different meals and each dish was equally as delightful. The waitress was polite and charming.

Our family (9 people) had a fantastic four hour snowmobile expedition with very friendly and excellent guides (Hasse and Maria). Trip over the Finnmarksvidda plateau and we also visited the edge of the Alta Canyon looking over the enormous valley and the steep mountain sides. Thanks a lot - a lifetime experience. We also got to visit a mountain lodge... More

First of all I was very pleased that the restaurant at the hotel was of such good quality as there is no other places to eat when you are staying at the Igloo hotel. I also think it is worth a visit if you are not staying at the hotel (all though the tables are first of all for the... More

My wife and I visited Sorrisniva to stay in the ice hotel (separate review) We had dinner before going on a reindeer ride and learned about Samis (also highly recommend). The restaraunt is incredible. Almost everything is locally sourced - the fish tasted like it was swimming that morning before being prepared. The food is as good as fine dining... More

The chef at this kitchen must be the biggest food wizard in the region. Or maybe the gods dropped him at this place to make up for cold, long and dark winters? I have had the chance to eat here several times, and each meal is a treat from heaven. Combining local ingredients with a twist, inspired by the french... More

The restaurant Laksestua (salmon hut) has always been well known
for its special architecture, assembling the shape of a Sami lavvo and its pleasant atmosphere.

The restaurant has become one of Finnmark`s best, and our chef Johnny Trasti was rewarded «best chef of the year 2009» in Norway.

The restaurant is open for larger groups throghout the year and for a la carte from January to April.
