What a gem of a pub. Fabulous home cooked food served by really friendly staff. Wonderful atmosphere and guest beers to sample. The mixed grill is a feast, sirloin steak cooked as you like it, pork loin steak, lamb chop, lambs liver, 1" thick bacon chop, pork thin link sausages, black pudding, battered onion rings, grilled tomato and home made... We go here quite regularly, food is served all day. It is an old miner's pub with several small eating areas. Not at all posh, just good old fashioned, delicious food, cooked to perfection and presented nicely. There are daily specials, and menus for people with smaller appetites. I thoroughly recommend it, and it's always busy, which speaks volumes.

I visited a couple of weeks ago with my husband and we couldn't fault it. There was no wait for a table and the food was amazing. I had the Tallahassee chicken which I would definitely recommend. Will definitely be visiting again soon 😊

Not been here for a while, glad to say food still of a very high standard, freshly cooked and very appetizing.Decent choice, heartily recommend the Black Pudding starter, which was the best I,ve ever had,if a little pricey.Pleasant staff, good service in a traditional English pub. Drinks reasonably priced, definitely worth a return visit.

We dined at The Colliers today at the recommendation of our foodie friend and it did not disappoint. We were warmly received by the landlord and staff and seated in a snug area that was full of local culture . The Sunday lunch was spot on just like my mother use to make that's some accolade coming from me. My... More

This is the 3rd time now that I have been disappointed with my lunch. Steak baguette the steak was so over cooked it was dry and tough. Other times cock and bull sauce split fish and chips appeared to be warmed up. Have been going to Colliers for years always fantastic but on these occasions terrible. Even a few of... More
