On the whole the food was very good indeed, and when our lovely English speaking waiter served us, the service was excellent!!! I didn't get his name, but you'll know who you are - we are the 3 English ladies, and we want to say a huge thank you for making our visits so much fun. You're a real asset to... More

Myself and my daughter were staying at the Garden Hotel, and la lacandiera is a 10 minute walk down the road (no pavement!) . We went for dinner for our last night in Sicily and had a fantastic time! A wonderful restaurant with skilled and friendly staff, accommodating to our lack of Italian, one of the waiters even read the... More

We were here 2 times for diner, best is to go at 8, then the restaurant is open and there is place to sit. A choice of fresh fish and 4 different types of meat. Of corse there is spaghetti. It was good.

We eat fish regularly and rest assured that this restaurant is a top, everything went exceptionally well from the guy outside the restaurant trying to help everyone with parking to the owner accommodating all 7 year old requests whilst attending a packed restaurant. Our waiter was nothing less then perfect, keep it up a real success it shows they put their... More

Had lunch together with friends during our short break in Sicily. I must admit that food was excellent, fresh and extremely delicious. We had to stop at the pasta as we were utterly full.

Every time I'm back in town it's a must!!! My favourite place with no doubts. Great FRESH fish good service and wine! If you are a tourist and want to try authentic plates and smell you better go and let the waitress choose for you! Book in advance, it gets really busy.

A nice busy restaurant with a lot of Sicilians all coming for a good great meal. We were welcomed with Bruschetta. Nice. For 'primi' we had a 'risotto ai frutti di mare' and a 'pasta con pesto e pistachi'. Italians like to give you as much as possible. That's great. It really was a plate full of food. Delicious. We... Had a lunch here, but not complete. Think it is impossible to cope with 12 different courses. Starters are a variety of raw and cooked seafood (shreemps, squeeds, octops, makerel...) and then coma first courses (pasta in different styles, but please try the "pistacchio" sauce) and the main course:basically roasted fish, very fresh and genuine. Most of the dishes are... More

It was a Saturday night and 2 hours before we wanted to eat. They had only 2 tables remaining of a total of 56 tables. That's got to tell you something! I live nearby and the lines of parked cars are a constant. It's pretty much all seafood and very well prepared and presented. No waiting for hours. Well-trained staff... More

We visited this restaurant on the third night of a one week holiday and went back every night after! The display of fresh fish when entering is just jaw dropping! Seafood of any kind is my choice when eating out and our experience in La Locandeira did not disappoint. Staff could not be more helpful or friendly and even overcame... More
