If you like to eat with the locals rather than the tourists, give this place a try. The service is a bit chaotic, but on the whole the food is very good and reasonably priced. The fish is plentiful and fresh from the catch! You may struggle a bit if you don't understand any Italian, but we got by with... More

We've been there and had a wonderful mix of antipasti and then a delicious Pasta allo scoglio. Everything was fresh and just wonderful

The ambience is a bit retró but that´s also part of the experience. There is no real menu and you are offered the freshest fish of the day so get ready to experiment. Prices are... More

We had a nice dinner here on a Wednesday night, starting with gnocchi with swordfish and fettuccini with seafood, but the overworked waiter could just not keep up with things as other guests came in. There was another waitress, but she was much slower and did not seem inclined to help the waiter out with the many tables they had... More

and it was very good. Many delicious fish courses, good wine, fun décor--with fishing nets, and other nautical-themed ornamentation. We were very weary from traveling, had arrived late to the hotel, it was pouring down rain, and we had to get up early for next day of work. So this fun restaurant was just the ticket. Large table of locals... More

San Gregorio is nominally a separate town from Catania, but it's no more than a short cab ride from the middle of the city. It's really like going to the suburbs for dinner. This restaurant was established in 1998, and its location is attributable to the price of land and the availability of space for parking outside of the city... More
