Camped here for the weekend, first time campers with a toddler in tow on the hottest weekend of the year. John was accommodating as soon as we entered the site, brilliant pitch on the hill top with great views of the surroundings, play park, pub and...amenities. Good hot food served and lots of variety behind the bar. Only for my little lad being pushed off the play bridge, it would have made for a perfect weekend. Nothing was too much trouble for John, he made sure everyone was ok and settled in and that you had everything you need. P.S if you go camping there with a child go and visit the National Forest Adventure Park, its 20 minutes in the car, amazing full day out which is packed with entertainment for the kidsMore

Popped up here after seeing the garden to drink and eat in. Very spacious settings altho some table are on a slant. Kids activity area to play in central in the garden ample parking and great hosts. Oh and probably the most important bit the...food was fantastic myself and my kids loved all that came on our plates. Big choice as well. Sat outside in the sun couldn't think of anywhere else in the sun locally that's this nice. Well doneMore

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at The New Broom and have no complaints, we were travelling with family with two caravans and asked if we could be put next to each other which wasn’t a problem at all, we were even...let face our awnings to each other which was a plus. We ate at the pub two of the days and enjoyed everything we ate, it is clean and welcoming there was even an area inside we could sit with our dog. The ground was wet but no problem also very easy getting on and off . John was very tentative and often came over just to see if we were ok. A new toilet and shower block was completed while we were there and is more than adequate and cleaned several times a day. Considering it is right on the road the traffic noise wasn’t a problem, it was full to capacity the second day and again no noise problems. The only down side to our stay was my hubby loosing his wallet which wasn’t handed in by anyone but again the staff were very concerned and have searched the park for us and have had a message on returning home to say they will keep a look out and get in touch if anything comes of it. We will certainly be coming back.More

We were so lucky to have found this hidden gem when driving past. The staff were very welcoming and extremely helpful with showing us where to go with the new COVID-19 layout. The food was delicious and the views of the hills from the garden...were picturesque. I would highly recommend this beautiful gastropub and I will definitely be visiting again very soon!!More

Just returned from 4 nights camping at The New Broom. Our first trip out of lockdown we ate in the pub garden for 2 of the nights we were there. Showers are basic but for £15 a night for a family of 4 with EHU...it was absolutely fantastic. Toilets shared with the pub but open all night and outdoor washing up facilities. The hosts cannot do enough for you, friendly and welcoming and making sure we had everything we needed. A great location, 20 minutes from Alton Towers and easily accessible even if you have a larger unit. I understand these are new owners who took over in February 2020 and have plans to add further facilities in the future. I never leave feedback but felt it was worth letting eveyone know what a little gem this is for a short breakMore
