This authentic little place tucked away behind Ano Mera square is a very nice Greek coffee shop with excellent fresh Greek sweets, an excellent Greek aperitif place for Ouzo, wine, beers and Meze (try the mixed Meze platter, the fried Simi baby shrimp, the fried calamari and freshly fried meatballs). Locals come for coffee, sweets, drinks and dinner here, prices... More

Old style Greek taverna. No frills good quality traditional Greek food, delicious oriental sweets. It's an oasis of authenticity and simplicity in Mykonos where nowadays everything must be (or look like) super trendy.

Simple food. No frills and all natural and traditional. Exceptionally tasty hearty dishes and all made from scratch with generosity and kindness. No crowds. No glitz. As if stuck in the 1950's black and white Greek movies. With barrel wine, tsipouro, and home cured olives and cheeses.

What a delightful little cafe in Ano Mera village! Delightful is the word, everything is delightful: the courtyard, the service, the ambiance, the fresh and strong Greek coffee, and of course the sumptuous desserts made from scratch by hand by local Greek grandmas. We couldn't resist and bought a jar of quince jam (7 Euros, seriously? Prices like this don't... More

A traditional coffee shop with a selection of nice homemade Greek sweets, perfect for rounding off an afternoon at the beach. Also good for having some Greek aperitifs such as Ouzo or Tsipouro or just a couple of beers.

Locals hangout in this elegant little pastry store which by definition alone tells you the place is good. Only drawback it's also a football joint where locals come and see games , consequently it can be noisy . Pastries are very yummy especially their locoumades and Greek coffee.

We like to avoid touristic restaurant and eat like locals when we travel, and in a place like Mykonos this could be challenging ... So in Ano Mera we decided to ask the local butcher for advices. At first he pointed out there were many restaurants in town we could choose from, but we insisted saying we wanted something "authentic"... More

We live in the village and frequently pass by to have a raki and mezze or a coffee at Araxame. What a great place! Value for money, very well cooked mezzes and very good service! A place worth visit!

One of the best places to have a traditional Greek coffee or meal in Mykonos. Locals use to hang around in Araxame, so it's far from a tourist trap or such. Their waitress/cook is extremely friendly, and its really inexpensive.! Greek coffee for 1,5 euro.
