I wanted to find a restaurant with a local feel and authentic Austrian food which is exactly what we got. I had the pork with dumplings and my husband had the schnitzel with cheese and ham. Delicious and served by a great team including Thomas and Ute. Thank you for a lovely experience.

A very cozy restaurant with great dishes. We ordered roast pork with dumplings and the Veggi Burger. Everything came very quickly and warmly to the table and was very delicious. For dessert, we still had the brandy dough with pistachio ice cream. It was delicious. We always like to come here.

The food options in this restaurant are great. It offers traditional dishes as well as fantastic salads and even vegan options. The foods are delicious, healthy and filling. Dishes are not small and you won't go home hungry. In summer the beer garden is fantastic for eating outdoors. This is our favourite restaurant we are in the area.
Staff is friendly and service was fast.

We had a 50th birthday party. The food was good and the price was OK. We brought our own cakes and enjoyed them. However, we were charged €1.50 for the dessert plates. And an extra plate was also €1.00. In my opinion, that was an absolute disgrace. We will never go there again. It's a shame, really.

We visited Bachwirt at midday and ate outside in the garden. The waitor was very kind. The menu is quite big with a wide range of dishes. The food took a little longer to be served, but acceptable. Tasty, classic austrian food is guaranteed. The flavor is rather mild but all in all very fitting and delicious.

Great restaurant." Hostess very polite and seated within a minute. Waiter was exceptional and service was very nice. Roast beef and mixed salad was very delicious.
Highly recommend if traveling to Zeltweg area or Judenburg area. Very nice friendly town Knittelfeld.

We stopped in Gasthof Bachwirt for a quick lunch while travelling in Austria. This is as classic Austrian experience as you can imagine - nice, cozy garden with chequered tabletops, wiener schnitzel and local beer. Both food and service were excellent 5/5.

We visited here on the recommendation of our equally good hotel and we were not disappointed. We arrived on a warm friday evening without a reservation (get a reservation) but we still were very lucky to get a table, it was busy.
And rightly so…super mix of Austrian foods, for vegans, fish lovers, meat eaters, veggies….fairly priced, friend;y service, and very cost garden…highly recommended…

Beautiful patio and setting. The food was delicious, decently priced. The recommendation came from the owner of our air bnb and I couldn’t have been happier! Service was excellent, and love that they have a play area to the side for families with children. Would go back if / when I am back in the area

Came to this restaurant because everything else was closed at that time (On some days in Austria, everything closes early and there are also certain weekdays when restaurants will take a day off). We were warmly welcomed in the original entrance room. House own beer was great. We got speciality soups, Beuschl (organs of the cow) and Fritattensoup (like a crepe cut into thin pieces, it's a bit difficult to explain), but either way is very tasty. Fresh breads (will be charged separately, not included). Overall a great original place with friendly service and good atmosphere. I will be back again for more beer and food too.
