I read the other reviews and expected a really lovely meal. However the meals my family got were very ordinary. The Viking burgers were drowned in a fairly tasteless purple sauce and the fish my wife got was an oily disaster. She couldn't eat it...More

After enjoying the Flamsbana railway we wanted somewhere to rest before our onward journey to Aurland. The Ægir was amazing - great service, really authentic feel to the decor and more importantly tasty food and craft beer. We tried the pulled pork and pulled chicken;...More

Great concept of a microbrewery in an old Viking tavern. We only had beer but you can stay for lunch or dinner which is located upstairs. You need to be able to climb because there is no elevator that I could se. If you are...More

We went fairly late for drinks and dinner. When you arrive, you need go to the bar first and check in for dinner which is served upstairs. We had to wait 30 minutes downstairs in the bar area. However, we enjoyed one of the many...More

Flam is a beautiful location and this pub has great atmosphere where you feel like you are in a Scandinavian pub with rather authentic music playing. The beer was not great, but the place is a local favorite.

Brewpub in center square of Flam offers a number of locally brewed beers as well as an international selection. I got a flight, which was more expensive than a litre, but offered a good selection to taste. We ate upstairs in this renovated church decorated...More

The food was really delicious and great value for money. They have an excellent range of beers. The service was friendly and quick. Would definitely recommend the Viking plank with matching beer tasting.

No. I wish they did. That was something I wanted to try in Norway, but could never find it.

Id say that Ægir is one of the must-visit things in Flåm, especially if you enjoy good beer. In an hour you can taste beer and enjoy the feeling and architecture of the place. No reservations.
