A gem within TossadoMar. A lot of commercial restaurants around but this one is different for the location and thw cozy atmosphere. Great seafood paella!

Well I always try to give an honest review, good or bad, and sadly this restaurant didn’t live up to the expectations I believe it’s a family run restaurant and we were warmly greeted by a very smart and polite gentleman who showed us to...our table for two We started with toast with garlic and tomato which was the best part of the meal this was really good, but you can’t really mess up such a simple dish My wife had Chicken paella and I had a ribs in BBQ sauce that came with French Fries My wife’s dish wasn’t very nice at all, overly salty and although made in what seemed a gravy type base was quite dry and in some places burnt in the skillet it was served in My ribs were okay, only okay, the BBQ sauce wasn’t so much a sauce but a watery version of itself, and a portion of fries? Well there were 11 if that constitutes a portion The restaurant itself is very nice, not overly pricy but I wouldn’t have paid what I did if I knew how the food was going to be The host and his wife I’m guessing and the two young ladies were all very polite. The other gentlemen didn’t seem very happy judging by facial expressions, unsure as to why Overall not a great experience and I certainly wouldn’t return, which is such a shame as it’s in a lovely area of the old townMore
You might need to make a reservation to dine here as it is very popular. The staff was friendly and accommodating and the food was very good. Set in the shadow of the castle, it is a lovely location for a lovely dining experience.
Terrible experience. We were intrigued to try food in this restaurant based on lots of compliments but we were disappointed. We oredred two grilled octopus, both were burned and one was too hard to chew and tasteless. Sides (potatos and tomatos) were awful. We also...ordered scampies with garlic mayonnaise, and we got 8 halfs of mostly shelfs of scampies with little meet and without mayo. Forth dish was rice with black squid ink and cod, and it was paella with seafood and piece of cod. It seems that prices are lower compared to orher restaurants in same area but portions are smaller.More
A lovely restaurant just inside the castle wall in Tossa De Mar with a good amount of seating inside. We really enjoyed the squid ink paella we ate here but unfortunately the service let it down slightly, we were seated in a table tucked away...in the corner and it really felt like we were forgotten about completely. Would still recommend eating here, but I’d look to book outside seating in advance.More
Don’t waste your time. Food & Staff awful. Worst experience and no emotional intelligence… food was cold. The place had a strange smell. Staff were rude and aggressive
We were able to witness a manager and a bartender were disastrous vulgar aggressive insults with a client who did not want to pay the manager but rather the girl who served them, I will not go to that place again ..
This is a clean and smart restaurant Seafood here was average. With that price and rating I was expect a bit more from the service. The staffs were not very welcoming and were dropping glasses and cutlery many time which was a bit anoying.
Friendly service, amazing food and nice atmosphere. We were pleasantly surprised as we didn’t expect too much considering we are close to Lloret de Mar. 100% recommend.
Beautiful setting with in the castle and old town, good menus choice and good value, we shared a delicious goats cheese starter and a paella which was lovely and rich with flavour! We had a lovely bottle of rose with the meal as they had...a good selection of Catalan wines! Service was very good and although they were busy we were never rushed! Definitely worth a visit.More
The atmosphere and service were excellent! My husband and I both had salads and they were delicious. My husband had steak, perfectly cooked and delicious. The only complaint would be that the smallest steak option is still way too large of a serving. We could...have shared it. I ordered the famous Tossa dish Cim I tomba and I couldn’t eat it. There was some type of topping on the fish that was cheese-like and I think it made the dish undesirable. I couldn’t eat it. Overall, it was a lovely experience and would definitely go back and try other dishes.More
Really nice location within the fortification and adjacent to Tossa's nicest shopping/dining area. Better to make a reservation. Ask to be seated outside. Excellent service. Their Sangria was the best one we had in Tossa. Some of our food was excellent as well, but some...other was just average and one dish in particular (their traditional "Cim-i-tomba") was a total failure. May be we were just unlucky on that day. We would give them another chance.More
Great food, great surroundings within the Castle walls, have been many times now have and never been disappointed.
We ate here twice in the week we stayed in tossa. Would have been 3 had we found it earlier. 10/10 food. Really really tasty, great portion sizes and presented beautifully. Reasonable prices too for such high quality.
We enjoyed the food and the treat very much, good portions and good service. We can recommend this place to travelers.
