The staff here are all delightful, friendly and efficient. The zucchini balls were excellent and the house white extremely palatable. However, the fresh fish is very expensive!! We have spent many holidays in Corfu where fresh sea bass is €12-15, and just along the coast at Plakias we had sea bass for €14.50 at a very nice restaurant. As there... More

Driving back to Chania we pass Chora Sfakion and luckily it was dinner time and stopped. We like fish and here we had the best grilled calamari and grilled sardines ever; Grilled fish perfectly cooked! Nice view as well. The name is actually Obros gialos. Highly reccomended.

We liked the look of the menu when we passed by in the afternoon so we returned for dinner. We had Shrimp Rossoto and stuffed red peppers with rice and cheese and a liter of house wine all for 30 euros. Each dish was perfectly done and the wine was full and smooth. We will go back to this taverna.

We traveled to Sfakia from Loutro and already planned to stay in the village for one night. Lucky we did this because we came across this restaurant. It's a pity that so many who come here come only to pass this small place to immediately catch the bus and transfer elsewhere. First of all, the server (likely owner) greeted us... More

The food, setting and the (very jolly) service are all excellent here. The tzatziki is the best in Hora Sfakion as is the enormous Sfakian salad. Also excellent are: zucchini balls, Sfakian risotto with crevettes and ouzo, risotto with mussels, the fresh, grilled fish, and the fresh prawns/langoustine. Be aware that with all fresh fish etc the prices are quite... More
