Best fish and chips I've had away from the seaside! Definitely recommend - reasonably priced too. Smiles all round 🙂

Local Fish and Chip restaurant that always provides great fish and chips. The chandeliers in the restaurant are awesome - makes the place feel really grand! Only reason I haven't given it 5 stars is due to the wait at the take-away section as they sometimes cook to order which is not great when you just want to nip in... More

First class food and five star service from both our waitress and (later) Ryan, one of the managers. Our friend, who is autistic and very nervous about public occasions, thoroughly enjoyed herself and was delighted when Ryan arranged to return her glasses by post after she'd left them on the table. Will go again and would recommend unreservedly - a... More

Have visited the Wetherby Whaler on many occasions and have never been disappointed. The service and food is excellent and the restruant is well appointed with magnificent chandeliers and a live piano accompanist. We can recommend this venue and the food especially to conoseurs of quality fish and chips.

Today my husband and I visited the Wetherby Whaler for my favourite meal of fish and chips and were not disappointed. We had the seniors meal of three courses for £9.95 which is great value. The first course of leek and potato soup, made on the premises, was piping hot and very tasty. The main course of fish and chips was... More

A good place to enjoy a family treat -good old fashioned fish and chips. All youngsters enjoyed it--as did the senior members of the party My only caveat is the Mushy peas--clearly tinned and not at all marrow fat peas with that taste.

When we arrived the restaurant was full so the waiter took our name and then we could sit down until called - didn't therefore have to stand in a queue for 10 mins. Lovely traditional surroundings nice and clean. Staff polite and friendly. Good portion size, great taste. Good value for money. Will definitely return.

We called in after 2hrs of power walking .... burn the calories and then add the calories 😆 Fish and chips for two and was hoping for something nice and it was very good. As we were pushed for time we ordered takeaway and ate it in the ramblers room. The fish was very nice but the chips stole the... More

Brother & I popped in for an early dinner. Amazing luxurious dinning room with fab chandeliers, very retro It was quiet when we arrived at 17.50 but by 18.00 it was filling up nicely The basic haddock & salad was perfect for me, delicious Brother had gluten free batter on haddock & chips with mushy peas - the batter looked...
