Try the potatoe gratin instead of regular hashbrowns, they are tasty. The service was great and the food was delicious.

I had delicious blueberry pancakes, and my other half had a huge omelette--we ate every scrap and had enough energy for a day of hiking. The waitress was also really sweet and had advice on hiking trails (even looking up a location for us). There was also good wifi.

The Ripplewood is tiny but friendly, and the food is good. I had eggs scrambled with chorizo, served with avocado, pintos and soft corn tortillas. Mexi-Cali at its best and piping hot. It's definitely a tourist stop, but the prices are reasonable.

Had some of the best eggs Benedict here. Service was fine. Ambiance was quaint. Prices were as expected in that area. We would go back.

We stopped here whilst driving the Big Sur initially just for a drink. It's not much to look at from outside but there is a lovely patio area at the side of the restaurant. The menu looked good as did the food being served to other diners and so we decided on an early light lunch. We ordered the half... More

Service was ok. The little cups of half-n-half was perhaps sitting out too long. When I added it to my coffee, bits of curdled milk floated to the top. I had the Benedict. At $15 bucks, I expected a nicer product. I'm fairly certain that hollandaise was out of a packet. Hollandaise is the easiest of the four sauces to... More

This is our other favorite place in Big Sur for breakfast. It's easy to miss if you're zooming by on Highway 1. There are a couple gas pumps out front and it shares its building with a funky camp store, and it's easy to miss the restaurant. But give it a try. There is dining inside in a homey, knotty... More
