Would definitely come here again as the sandwich I had (buttermilk chicken) was delicious, a decent size and the staff were friendly and helpful. I also had the Slammin House fries but I think these could have been a little better (nowhere near enough cheese, I had to practically scour through them to find the cheese shavings). They also mixed them with sweet potato fries which I hate (I misread this on the menu though so that wasn’t the bars fault).
Quirky decor in there too, definitely had a charm to the place.
My only real reason for not awarding a full 5 stars was because the place doesn’t serve full fat Coke. Sugar tax or not I think places should at least have it available in bottles. Don’t really understand why places can’t just bring it in so people can have the option and then just charge a bit more. The staff happily exchanged mine for an orange juice though so it was OK.

After hearing from people that had been here and telling me how amazing it was I decided it would be somewhere to try and treat my boyfriend to a Birthday meal, we had looked at the menu online in advance and really both agreed it was the type of food we really liked and that we hadn't really seen the types of options elsewhere. The staff were very friendly and when i spoke to one of them quietly out of earshot of my boyfriend to ask if when they served our food they could just simply wish him a happy birthday they were more than willing to do so. When the food did finally arrive i was so suprised and touched that they had put a candle in his sandwich and all wished him happy birthday, it did not seem any effort for them to do so and during our time there there were a few other birthday parties in and all the staff seemed genuinely enthusiastic to help with the celebrations. Finally the food we had was absolutely amazing, freshly cooked and great unique flavours, we made sure not a bit was left uneaten, for a moment we could have sworn we were eating the foods from the west coast of America that are influenced by the street food vans and we were actually in America not England. Great food, great staff who are clearly passionate about what they do and fantastic overall experience. Good luck and may your success continue!!!!!

Not very often do I leave a glowing review , this place however shines for me . Excellent service , clean restaurant. Extras in the toilets . The food is amazing hot fresh and comes out in a very reasonable time , the sweet potato are so yummy , staff are friendly without hovering or being pushy and give you good information about the specials , there was even a painting class going on upstairs we didn’t hear a peep well done 9/10 . Keep up the good work :)

Visited with my 3 kids (14,11 and 7)
Having read previous reviews I had reserved a table and I was glad I had as a fair few people came in and were turned away.
The service from start to finish was excellent. Friendly but not intrusive. The waitress explained the offers to us and helped us decide on how much to order.
The food was fantastic.
The menu has something for everyone. My kids commented that it was one of the best children's menus they had seen as although the selection was small it was not the usual nuggets and beans.
Value wise I was happy to pay ÂŁ40 for 3 full sized ( very large!) sandwiches, a large portion of fries, a children's sandwich and fries and 4 soft drinks.
We didn't need to eat again for a long time!

Went here for lunch with the family and all ordered Sandwiches with Fries. Two of the sandwiches arrived stone cold but staff were more than happy to exchange them.
I had the 'got Seoul' sandwich and was really impressed with the quality although probably expected thicker bread, closer to the adverts. Food seemed fresh as well
In general the quality of the food is great but very poor value. Felt slightly ripped off paying ÂŁ11 for a sandwich and and extra quid for a small cup of fries.

I’ve ordered twice now during lockdown & both occasions the service has been impeccable.
Staff have clearly made an effort to move furniture & ensure social distancing requirements are followed. Customers are given a time slot to pick up their slamwich to ensure there are not too many people in there.
I arrived to pick up my Slamwich and on both occasions was made to feel welcome by the staff. My order was placed on the end of the bar & staff moved back to enable me to get my order and respect the 2m distance.
The Slamwich...oh my! Amazing! Both times my Slamwich and chips have been piping hot and taste amazing!

Delicious food all round! A meat eater, a pescatarian and a vegetarian walk into a restaurant and .......... all ate amazing food that was great quality and value for money. Amazing staff as well - can’t wait to go back and a delicious pint of craft ale too!!!

Just had lunch here today,I had The Porky Pig Slamwich and my husband had the You’ve Got Beef Slamwich both where huge in size and absolutely delicious, really good value for money.
The service was also great and you could sit inside or outside which today was perfect for sitting outside.
Definitely will be back again

Stopped by here after a long day looking for some simple tasty food. This place did not disappoint at all. The food was tasty and delicious, huge portions and the staff were really friendly and helpful. It was also very reasonably priced. If we are ever in the area we will definitely visit here again.

We regularly order from slam because of the amazing food and service. Last night we ordered using there new service the food came before the expected the delivery driver was great and ensured contact free delivery. As for the food I have never ever had a bad thing to say perfect portions, food is always hot when it turns up and my family is happy.

I recently visited here with a friend.
I had the paneer sandwich which was nice and had loads of paneer on. I would've liked the paneer to be cooked a little longer but that's personal preference. Unfortunately the poppadom on it was no longer crunchy but a bit of a sorry mess by the time I got round to eating it. I know that food is made to order but having years working in kitchens I would say that kitchen service was a bit slow. This wasn't an issue though as has time to talk with my friend. If I'd had the kids with me though it would've been different.
The service was great and all in all, I would return again.

Visited on a Saturday lunch time as a group of 6. (Pre-booked). We all absolutely loved it and said we would return.
Everyone's food looked amazing! The only thing I'd say is, a couple of us opted for the wrap rather than the sandwich and it was the same cost as the sandwich. However, somebody else had the same filling on the sandwich and the wraps were so much smaller and less filling. They should really be a little cheaper?
The service was a little slow, but this is perfect for us as I hate feeling rushed in and out and it gives us time to catch up!
But.. besides that, lovely atmosphere, staff and food!

Personally I hate sandwiches, but these are honestly the best creations I have ever tasted in my life. I had the poppadom preach which is my favourite. Tater tots are insane. We ordered from here while they were closed for inside dining during lockdown and the food always comes hot and not soggy which is amazing. I love visiting here as well as the staff are so friendly and always happy to help with everything. I could never not enjoy this place. You don't 'need' sides as the sandwiches are great sizes and well worth the money but the sides are so nice. Everything is so so fresh, couldn't complain!

I ordered to take out and got complimentary drinks. Much appreciated and the sandwiches were truly amazing i got the jackfruit sandwich and my partner got the pulled pork. Was really nice and arrived when said. Really appreciated the yummy food and amazing staff

Really liked this place. All the food was good and the cauliflower bites and the milkshake (Lotus biscuit flavoured) were standouts.
For the sandwich, kimchi and cheese is a combination that feels like it won't work, but does!
Lots of great food and drink options, everything well-priced, we sat in a lovely private booth and the staff were friendly and clearly care about the restaurant.
I could imagine this being popular all over the UK!
