Have eaten multiple times over the past 8 years and every time it is unique. Its a small restaurant and the menu changes. If you are a picky eater you may struggle with the lack of choices. For the rest of us a minimal menu means fresh and quality. A few years ago I had the rabbit cacciatore and it... More

Great restaurant in Eugenia, a hidden gem really!! The food is great in flavour and in portion size, rustic, well executed and perfect for the surrounding area. This place has local produce, friendly staff and great drink choices as well. This place is well deserving of its fan base and I will be coming back as long as it's open!!

I visited this restaurant in October and was extremely impressed with both the food and the service. Our waiter was extremely attentive, polite, and wonderfully knowledgable about wine. The setting is charming, funky, and welcoming. The food, oh the food... Chef Shawn is a creative genius! The food is sourced locally so is incredibly fresh. I will definitely go back... More

We were visiting family in the area and wanted to go out for a nice dinner. When we arrived it started out OK. We were seated and the standup blackboard was plunked down in front of us with that evening's menu. We each ordered the crab cake appetizer. It arrived and it wasn't that great. One of our party asked... More

We weren't told any of the drinks or specials. The wait staff's first words were are you ready to order. She was short and unhelpful. The food was better than the service, but I wouldn't rush back.

This is a fabulous little restaurant about 45 minutes south of the Georgian Bay in Ontario. It's in an old, somewhat remodelled store/post office in Eugenia. The chalkboard menu contains a range of excellent appetizers and main courses. The food is beautifully presented, very fresh, and focuses on local provenance: exceptional meat dishes, very fresh fish, seasonal vegetables, etc. It... More

Drove 1 hr to get to this place only to be greeted by insolent and ill-mannered wait staff. Food is way over-priced to boot. Had a drink and left, drove to Owen Sound and ate at Casero Kitchen Table where the atmosphere is fun, food is amazing and reasonably-priced, and staff are polite and amiable.

We had heard that this would be good altho' pricey. Well it is definitely pricey but definitely not good. We both ordered as a starter, the puff pastry with smoked trout and goat cheese. After waiting 40 minutes the server brought our orders. The puff pastry was burned to a crisp black. It was topped by a small chunk of... More

We were told that you can only come with a reservation, but were able to just walk in - lucky us! The food was wonderful and plenty of it. If you are in the area, make sure to visit this spot. A true culinary gem :-)

Seems totally hit and miss and that goes for the Flying Spatula and the flying County Burger, that never seems to be open. Last experience at the Spatula was whether they could tailor cook their burgers to medium. Response was that they don't grind but bring in ground beef and make the patties themselves. Woo hoo, we do that at... More
