On a very wet September lunchtime we stopped at this restaurant and had a surprisingly good meal. I chose the homemade steak pie with mash and vegetables and my husband had homemade lasagne it was all delicious and I would highly recommend.

Excellent fish and meat dishes cooked to perfection. Carefully presented with really fresh veg. No fancy frippery here, just honestly made and cooked good local food.

Description
The Commercial is a former coaching inn run by the same family for over 100 years. We are an inn offering excellent value home cooked food using the fantastic local produce available to us wherever possible. There is a full bar menu with weekly specials for that extra something special. There is a small cosy dining room the Lounge at the front of the building and a light airy Conservatory dining room to the rear
