The best fried pork belly I have ever had! Simple place with good food. The Singapore Bee Hoon and Fried Rice are also good. Good and friendly service.

The restaurant is famous for it's Loh Mee and River Prawn Noodle which both were good. Their fried dumpling and pork also very good but I like the star fruit juice the most. Thumbs up

I horrible experience indeed. We came in a group of 8 & willing to split our group with 3 or 4. But the lady owner simply refuse to serve seeing our group. She further told her staff not to entertain us & walk off. Very arrogant.

Very good homely cooking. Ordered fried pork. Tasted soooooooo good as it was well marinated. Ordered crispy beancurd skin @ foo pei. Yummy. Ordered Sang Har Meen. Thumbs up! I wanted to try more dishes but I was so filled up. I have a reason to go back now! When we were there, they were also selling peanut snacks, mooncakes, tea, biscuits at the side. Lovely!

I had the pleasure of dropping by Xin Yuen Kee for my breakfast in KKB. We ordered the lor mee, the petai (stink bean) beehoon, the fish cake, and the chicken feet with mushrooms. The food was delicious; the lor mee had a vinegary tang unfamiliar to me as a KLite, but this did not detract from its enjoyment, while the petai beehoon was unique and delightful. More than that, the proprietor and staff were far more friendly and helpful than I am used to in KL, they even took the time to tell me where Rehman Rashid (the famous Malaysian author and the main reason I came to KKB) lived, and fondly recounted their memories of him.
I would recommend this place for anybody stopping in KKB for breakfast or lunch (they are closed by dinnertime).

It was crowded on a late afternoon as most of the other eateries in KKB have closed, so we ordered the signature Lor Mee and the cantonese braised Ee-Fu Mee for our quick lunch before heading up Fraser's Hill.
We find both dishes tasted rather bland, and the Lor Mee does not have much ingradient unlike those we are used to in Singapore. The only silver lining was the side dish of fried beancurd skin filled with fish paste which has excellent textures.

On the way back from Freser hill we stop by Kuala Kubu baru for late lunch. We reach town town around 1.45pm. See many people in this shop and we decided to eat our lunch in this restaurant.
We order loh mee, hokkian noodle, and kau gui mee hon. Fried meat roll. The food is delicious, especially the kau gui fried mee hon, kids also like it. The hokkian noodle is home make noodle, taste much better then the usual hokkian noodle we eat, loh mee taste nice as well. Our family enjoy the food. Will eat there again for next visit.

The service was friendly and fast. Prices are comparable to that of Kuala Lumpur - which is to say by small town standards, it is not cheap. Food is decent enough. The Loh Mee doesn't taste like the one in Penang but feels a bit more like shark fins' soup. The counter sells biscuits if you want to buy biscuits quickly.
While this is an ok place, it is not one to go all the way for.

Lor mee is a Chinese-inspired noodle dish served in a thick starchy gravy and thick flat yellow noodles. The dish is eaten by Hokkiens in Singapore and Malaysia. The thick gravy is made of corn starch, spices and eggs.
