The place has a wide variety of Chinese food and is good for large gatherings. We went 2 days in a row and both times it was packed. Even at 2.30pm the place was full. Would come again if I'm in the area

2nd time here. Great lunch stop on the way up to Fraser’s Hill. Get here early or you will have to queue. Very reasonably priced. Food for 5 of us under RM100 before drinks. And the snacks that they sell here are also fantastic! Good to stock up for the weekend in Fraser’s Hill.

Service is friendly and fast. The recommended dishes are crispy roast pork and braised mixed vegetables. They also sell foodstuffs like vegetables and crackers.

My family trip, we put up a night in KKB because we don't want my grandson to travel too long on road trip. Search for a place to dine nearby. Found this one.
Place is very clean, the boss attended to us, recommending all the signature dishes. We selected a few. Everyone is very happy and satisfied. The bill is really very reasonable. Strongly recommended.

The food was really delicious with big portion size. Best part is the price is really reasonable. We ordered a curry fish, pork knuckles, half chicken, fried veggies & their famous toufu. The bill ended up around RM155! Highly recommended! A must try place before departing to Genting!

My family and I were in KKB earlier this afternoon, and decided to have lunch in KKB. Hence, we decided to try out Restaurant Ninety Eight.
a) The price for the food and drinks are cheaper than KL price, which is a good thing. For example, we had chicken (small portion), squid (small portion), fried rice (1 person, while the others had plain white rice), vegetables (2 plates of the same type) and taufu (small portion), along with plain water and Chinese tea, and the bill came to RM110, for 4 adults and 1 child.
b) The food tasted good, and the time taken to prepare the food, was fast, within 10Min.
c) The service was alright, and the person who took our orders (young Chinese boy) spoke very good English.
d) The decoration/ambience of this Chinese restaurant is very simple. The restaurant was clean and spacious, and the toilets were hygienic too.
e) Parking the car was also easy, as the spaces are ample.
Overall I’d give 3.8 / 5 for this place.

We went to Chiling Waterfalls and had help from TripAdvisor on where to go for lunch. True enough this restaurant offers good food that are really affordable. For the food that we had (see attached photo) which served 5 hungry people, we only paid a total of rm 101.50. Service was very prompt and servers are friendly.

It's the quintessential Chinese restaurant; clean, few embellishments, high quality food. Staff are friendly, service fairly quick. Prices very affordable. Came back the next day to try more. Especially enjoyed the "mutton in clay pot".

There is ample parking. Service is fast and friendly. There is also wifi provided. As the pictures can show, the food is very good. I especially recommend the smoked duck with fried pork.

Thanks to trip adviser, base on members review i tried it on my way down from Fraser Hills with my family on 2/1/17. The steam fish is excellent, i am lucky that day they have a 2.5kg wild "Aruan" fish ( a cat fish family catch from nearby river), the crab porridge and river prawn is equally good, and best is reasonable prices ( I am comparing it with KL quality and prices.)

the dishes are great and delicious,my fav dish of all is the cat-fish steamed with soy sauce and half-boiled egg, its quite special, normally malaysian will have a kaya toast and half-boiled egg for breakfast, maybe its inspire from that (i donno:)) the owner of the restaurant are friendly, he told us some nice adventure places and stories bout Kuala Kubu Bharu (KKB) a nice place and have clean and comfortable circumstance with air-conditioners.

Clean environment with Air-conditional and you can try their delicious Chinese cuisine foods. I like the Tofu with pumpkin sauce dish, i will recommend this simple yet super delicious food to you all.

Nice food crab prawn fish and others are very delicious .Recommended restaurant..it is just 5 mins drive from Kuala Kubu Bharu Damn.. Tried the famous Crab Porridge, it is delicious

We were here for lunch. The Chicken 3 rasa( flavours) & fresh prawn/squid tomyam in coconut was awesome!! The portions were quite big and delicious! A highly recommended place :)

Recommended restaurant..it is just 5 mins drive from Kuala Kubu Bharu Damn.. Tried the famous Crab Porridge, it is delicious and it is about RM54 per bowl, can share 2 with 2 crabs inside (800g each)..
