Hence the panini was soggy. I asked if I could have pesto with my goats cheese and roast pepper. I think they... More

I came upon this place by chance while doing some shopping. It's a lovely place with plenty of seating outside, inside and upstairs. A quaint looking place with an oldy worldy feel to it. Tea served in a large tea pot in China cups and saucers...lovely! Plenty of choice on the menu plus a specials board and a wonderful assortment... More

We had coffee and scones here and we can warmly recommend the place. The service was very friendly and it did not take long for them to bring us our order.

Friendly, enthusiastic staff without being pushy. A very tasty brunch in a lovely setting. Prices were fair and service was good.

This is a quite small tea room, the theme looks like shabby chic - the cups, teapots and plates don't match but the tea and cakes delicious. There is seating outdoors as well as inside, toilets are upstairs. Pricing is inline with most coffee/tea shops - approx £12 for 2 teas and 2 cakes; note they did not take card... More

Visit to Newark to shop. A little disappointed as shops seem to have closed and the market was only half full of stalls. Then a visit to the Old Bakery for lunch , Made most welcome by the staff. But very busy. thought a long wait here but not. Food excellent and prices OK. Worth a visit any time

Heading through Newark on a Sunday afternoon on a four hour drive back to Suffolk and stopped to try and find a place for a coffee and cake. Almost went into a Weatherspoons and was so glad I didn't . This place looks great and it is great. Most importantly it had a good selection of home made gluten free... More
