I leave in the suburb so this is a bit of a local haunt. Brunch is my favourite, and while I am tempted by other things, can never seem to go past the boiled eggs and toast soldiers. Enjoyed an early meal here - quirky food offerings, well-cooked, prompt and friendly service. Perhaps a tad pricey for wine and water, but otherwise just great.

A rather disappointing experience. We took advantage of the early bird offer of two courses for $46. Waited a long time for the main. I had fettucine with prawns which were overcooked. Pulp Kitchen in suburban Ainslie provides more than a vague comparison with a French brasserie; pity there is not a bustling boulevard with tables facing into the passing throng and one could feel it is the real deal. A French Australian styled cuisine, beautifully presented, creative and challenging and delicious. Definitely a cut above the rest. I suggest ordering several entrée dishes to share and skip ordering mains. Almost all the dishes come in entrée size and this way you get to taste a good range. Maybe even take a chance on one of the more challenging dishes.

On arrival and being shown to the table and there were 2 dead flies on the table. Staff was ok. Menu had numerous choices. Garlic bread for starters was just sliced sourdough bread with garlic butter but was not even grilled. I was disappointed with my chicken breast main. This was our 2nd time at Pulp Kitchen and it was very disappointing. $36 steak overcooked and served with skinny packaged fries??? Only 6 oysters left at 7.15 at night and the other appetisers and main were ordinary. hopefully this isn't another case of a restaurant living off of its past successes..

Middle of the week but very busy, just as well I booked. Totally unpretentious, decor so la la but the place was humming and full of live.
