Brindabella is an old-style cafeteria with bain marie food and sandwiches and salads. Mostly a bit greasy, but the prices are amazingly cheap! Where they excel is their pastries, baked on the premises. The coffee is as good as the barista Gavin can make a cheap blend - not too bad. They process lengthy coffee queues amazingly quickly!

The baked goods here are pretty darned good. The lunches are okay but nothing to write home about - sizes are very generous for the price though. The staff are ever friendly. The coffee is fine, but not amazing. Prices are cheap as. Not much by way of ambience - it is attached to a government office though, so expect... More

The coffee is good and the cakes and pastries, baked fresh daily, are wonderful little temptations. But best of all in the coffee area they have an efficient system for getting people quickly through. So if you come here and the cffee queue is long, dont be dismayed. The team will have the orders processed and move the customers through... More

Selections of pastries and slices - the brownies' my favourite, coffee and a lunch menu that changes everyday with prices that you can afford not to bring lunch everyday.

I'm always amazed that this place doesn't sell out by 1230! Today I bought nasi goreng and a beef spring roll. The nasi goreng was excellent and I still consider their spring rolls to be some of the best in Canberra. The staff are super friendly and the prices can't be beat. More people need to check this place out!

The barista, Gavin, is lovely and makes good black coffees. Doesn't know much about AFL...but is good for information on board games.

We were visiting family in the area and called for breakfast. We found parking was at a premium and ended up parking across the road in the carpark for the hotel opposite the DFAT building. Really busy place with good coffee and a nice cooked breakfast. Can thoroughly recommend this cafe.

This is a hidden lunch time gem in Canberra. They have the best spring rolls in Canberra -- bar none! The prices can't be beat. Of course, it is cafeteria style service but this is restaurant quality food. If nearby parking weren't such an issue, I'm sure that this place would have lineups!

Excellent value, rotating menu, lots of fresh food, good coffee, outside seating available in leafy courtyard, don't get there between 12:15 and 2pm, breakfast and lunch only.
