Here for a special lunch with my partner and was disappointed. The cold look and lack of smiles seems to be telling guests that this place is for business lunch only. The food was beautifully presented though the taste lacks the wow factor that I would expect from the price tag. The Sautéed Abalone Maltagliati Pasta was impressive though Mussel... More

I think I may have had super high expectations of Rockpool Bar and Grill, especially because a) it's listed as fine dining, and b) I absolutely loved the Rockpool restaurant before it became Eleven Bridge. But my experience was very...underwhelming. Don't get me wrong, the restaurant is absolutely gorgeous and the staff are exceptional. And the food was incredibly tasty,... More

I would have rated this a five but it was sooo hot the night we were there that we couldn't stay for dessert. We had a reservation for two and were seated in the balcony area -- but it looked like there were plenty of spots on the restaurant floor. The staff for the balcony area seemed to be in... More

We recently dined at this signature restaurant of chef Neil Perry in Sydney. The understated renovation of a former bank was an idyllic dining space with the dark flooring and mid-gray tones accenting the white walls and ceiling. A very elegant and relaxed and quiet space. The service was paced to our needs with helpful explanations of their beef and... More

Great location in Art Deco surrounds. Big, buzzy and a touch brazen. Bit like Sydney itself. Food fresh, but surprisingly simple and, well, a tad underwhelming on the plate and on the palate. Good wine list and expert sommelier. Service, a little slow but pleasant and efficient. There are finer restaurants in this burg, but few offer the sensory overload... More

Rockpool is one of my favourite restaurants. Entree list is very expensive and diverse, both hot and cold entrees. I always go for a seafood entree and the quality is fantastic. Steaks for main are a must. Always cooked perfection to your preferred asking. Wine list is like a small phone book, so much to choose from from all regions.... More

My favourite Restaurant in Sydney. Its a huge menu, if its your first visit its best to familiarise yourself with it online first. After a few visits you'll know your favourites.

This was our 3rd visit to Rockpool and it has been absolute dining perfection every single time! My husband always has the steak and it is simply incredible! This time I had the pasta and it was definitely the best pasta I'd ever eaten! The desserts are always incredible and the petit fours are not to be missed! The sommelier... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
