This place always has lines at lunchtime and since I was eating alone I managed to get a seat along the sushi train around midday. Not many places have sea urchin ( uni) due to the low availability and the necessity to be fresh. It was served with rice and salmon roe. Really fresh sashimi and definitely will be back.... More

Only $3.50 per plate of sushi is good value. Fast service and fresh, tasty sushi. Worth a try if in the area and are after something quick

I was staying nearby and thought I would try out this sushi train restaurant on the first floor of the Galeries. Having eaten in Japan I think I come to a place like this with a certain level of expectation. Perhaps that was a mistake. In Japan food is amazingly fresh, whatever you order or eat and service is attentive... More

This place is run by a bunch of Japanese / Koreans rejected by their courteous, service oriented cultures. Japanese sushi masters would simply commit harakiri if they witness the food preparation standard in this place. We just had dinner there and arrived at 8 pm. All the staffs are busy mopping up the place with big bottle of detergent sat... More

I have never experienced this bad services in Sydney. It's a shame. Honestly we didn't eat here because of terrible service attitude. We arrived at 8pm at the mall and found the other 2 Japanese restaurants had long queue so we change to sushi because no one wait and with plenty empty seats. The waiters didn't speak English well and... More

We've been to Hotaru a few times, and each time we enjoyed it. Until, today. We were there late for lunch (around 2:30pm), but this place apparently doesn't close. There was a bit of a wait, and we discovered from other customers that if you complain, you get to go in first and jump the line! We were taken in... More

My favourite quick stop sushi place when I'm in the city. It's often full but it isn't a long wait for a seat. They have a big variety of choices and the staff are pleasant.

The seafood was really fresh. The octopus balls tasted really good. The eel was really delicious. The service was good. You can order from the iPad or pick from the sushi train. The vegetable hot pot was ok. We had 11 dishes, vegetable hot pot and drinks for four people it cost $66.20. All the sushi plates were $3.50 except... More

Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
