The food is quite good, and plating is fantastic. Staff is a bit disorganized (presenting dishes twice) but they try hard and have a smile, so it's a great address in Sydney.

Wanting to eat a nice steak, my wife and I decided to try Black Bar & Grill. The service was faultless, and the steaks were cooked to perfection. I was slightly disappointed to discover that the vegetables came at an extra cost to the steaks. Overall, the meal the excellent, but a little bit on the pricey side.

Black is my go-to restaurant when I'm out of ideas. Celebrated friend's birthday -Saturday lunch. Wagyu steak is the specialty here and you won't be disappointed. A bit pricey but at $70-80 per head, you guaranteed a perfect steak, starters, desert and wine. A bit more per head if you have wagyu!! Extensive wine selection, great view and polished service.... Left disappointed by our meal. For a steak house, the meat should be the highlight yet at Black it was disappointing. We had a sampling plate and the pork was overcooked, the remainder just average. We came here to see a show (Monday) at The Star. Great opportunity to have your meal a little early, allowing you plenty of time to dine and late go the the bar for drinks. The food was exceptional. We ordered the steaks and they were cooked to perfection. Also ordered the duck and this was great too. Ordered mixed steak and pork/lamb platters x2. One order rare but 3 medium. They were inedible. The pork and lamb raw, it was unbelievable.
