I have been to Sokyo numerous times over last couple of years, have tried pretty much everything from the extensive menu and never get tired of this place. Perfect for a business breakfast/dinner, date night or an outing with friends/family. The environment is modern and stylish, a bit loungy at night. The food is presented carefully, the plating is always... More

This is a great Japanese restaurant, a little on the expensive side but outstanding food. The service was good but a little too attentive at times and maybe intrusive. However, all in all a good experience and I would return and recommend.

A great place to take friends whether its for business or personal for dinner. The atmosphere is great and it is alway busy. There's a big range of wines and sake and food is so fresh. Your waiter will always ready to offer you recommendations on what to order. The sashimi is to die for. Cod fish done with a... More

Elegant and classy japanese restaurant right behind Darling Harbour just at the exit of the Star casino. Quite busy spot with excellent sashimi and fresh nigiri. Ask for the atlantic trout, really something. Best is to take larger portions and share. Nice sake assortment and very accurate/friendly service

We stopped off for a drink after a day of sight seeing at about 5pm on a Saturday. It looked a sophisticated bar, but we were made to feel very welcome despite our less than glamorous attire. My cocktail choice (Brandy Alexander) was not on the menu but my request was taken with no drama and the drink was superb.... More

This review is for the breakfast. Went for the Full continental buffet with tea/coffee and one Full continental buffet ($28), an a la carte dish with tea/coffee ($38). For the a la carte dish had the Sumo Breakfast. It was pretty good but probably an overkill, the continental buffet is enough or just go for a la carte instead. Everything... More

The sushi was absolutely delicious. The staff was friendly and attentive even though it was absolutely packed. I did not make reservations and still got seated quickly.

Busy little place located at the exit of the Star Casino. Make sure you book well in advance. Fresh produce and some terrific combinations. The service was terrific so all in all a pretty good experience. Love the Kirin Lager off the tap. After 6 Kirin's I started to say Sokyo instead of Tokyo :) #facxual_events

Went there last night for dinner, the place was busy and quite loud. We couldnt hear each other across the table without semi shouting a sentence. The food overall was ok, tasty and well presented. There was one dish i was dissapointed at was the most expensive one on the menu, the 600gram wagu. It was well overcooked and tasteless..... More
