We were staying at QT which is in walking distance of Tapavino. After a pleasant walk we were offered a table outside on a beautiful Autumn night. The food was delicious and just what we were after. We had eaten at Balcon by Tapavino and...More

Down a cute little alley with some limited outdoor seating. A bit loud inside but great traditional tapas selection and an amazing wine list filled with Sherry. Don't expect any local wines however. I particularly enjoyed the potato pizza thing and the stuffed chicken thigh

We were in Sydney in hot weather and needed a drink. We saw this establishment, which was obviously a restaurant, but at the time with very few customers. We asked if we could just have a drink and were assured that we could and were...More

The tapas is delicious and varied. We enjoyed each morsel we ordered. The servings are small so you will need a number especially if you are hungry. The wine list is extensive but not cheap.

We were taken here by friends so were polite in our comments about our meals but the honest truth is, we were disappointed given the hype we had been given. I'm sure they can serve good food, but when busy the service slips and likewise...More

Off the beaten track. Small authentic and food delicious. Staff slightly overbearing but pleasant and helpful.

Attentive staff with a long and thorough wine list. The duck liver pate was excellent with delicious grilled bread. The braised beef cheek with pumpkin purée stole the show. The Dulce de leche tart was divine and is worth the visit alone!

I met a friend early evening for a drink at Tapavino. We had a lovely bottle of Rioja from the special list from Ramon de Bilbao, which was delicious (but expensive). We had a charcuterie platter to nibble on whilst drinking the wine. The restaurant...More

Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with
energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise
buildings and after-work drink places, high-end
shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners
frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a
dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit
the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle,
reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens

A celebration of Sherry, Wine, Food, & Friends Influenced by the culture of sip-a-little-bit-of-this-and-eat-a-little-bit-of-that, Tapavino began in August 2012 as Australia's first Sherry Bar, in a little lane-way not unlike something you would find in the cobblestoned alleyways of Spain. Helped by the beautiful warm vibe that greets you as you step inside and take a seat among floor-to-ceiling wine bottles, Tapavino was named runner-up in Sydney Morning Herald's 'Best New Bar' Awards within 4-months of opening. 12-months later we were named 'Best Bar with Food'. Our endless pages of over 300 Spanish wines and 80 Sherries is an important component of our obsession of all things Spanish, and this reflects in our dedication of bringing the most exciting boutique and artisan wines from around Spain to the Australian Market
