Booked Gowings for convenience as we were attending an 8pm show at State Theatre next door and on a tight time constraint. Our section waiter Antoine did a fantastic job of recommending meals and providing great friendly and professional service that got us out on...More

Wet Sunday night we just dropped in. Great range on the menu. Steaks were all cooked to perfection and my Salmon delicious. The quirky lift and decor are just part of the experience.

Popped in here as I was staying at QT. It’s a busy place on Thursday, with good music, but not a quiet bar. Had a cocktail in the gilt bar upstairs. Excellent! Indulged in steak frites for dinner. Very well cooked, crispy salty frites, separated...More

We've started at QT numerous times and it never disappoints. Gowings Bar and Grill is great for breakfast. Cocktails in the evening are hard to beat. Worth a visit.

I researched bars and restaurants before our trip to Sydney and this was one of the places that I wanted to try. Our first night in Sydney we wandered less than a block from our hotel and stumbled into Gowings. The Ground floor bar is...More

We went for breakfast. The food was good, service was good. Love the character of the place and how well they've restored the old building.

Nice place but if it doesn’t worth the price. It’s the first time in my life that I have a 500 bill and i’m being told that we can’t divide it and pay by card. The dumber manager I have ever seen!

We spotted this on our way to the virtual room around the corner, and were so impressed by the architecture and decor that we made a detour to come back. The cocktails were delicious (but expensive), and the interior really is stunning. You can dine...More

Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with
energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise
buildings and after-work drink places, high-end
shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners
frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a
dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit
the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle,
reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens
