I ate breakfast here three mornings while staying in Sydney. I stumbled across this cafe by accident but I'm so glad I found this little treasure! The staff are friendly and their barista and chef skills are brilliant! I ate the big breakfast which was not only filling but completely full of flavour and garnished well. Best poached eggs I... Great food and friendly staff. They serve a nice range of different dishes, we tried Vinnie's Balls. He can't have them back, they were too tasty. Definitely worth a visit. Food and service are superb.

The friendliest service I've had in a Sydney cafe; they remembered my name & order after my second visit. There is always a new option of a 'guest blend' coffee bean and sometimes they do cold brew. Love how the menu keeps changing which is great when you want choice. The food is fresh and largely made on site. The... More

A friendly retreat in the heart of Sydney, this inviting cafe enjoys comfortable aesthetics and adopts a clear focus on natural, wholesome foods in its varied menu/beverage offerings. Servings are generous, prices reasonable, and the service is attentive. Staff welcome their guests with genuine warmth and hospitality, leaving them feeling valued. Will definitely be coming back! :)

Just a few minutes walk from the rip-off prices in Darling Harbour, Lava Cafe does the best Egg and Bacon roll for 5 bucks. With free Wifi, friendly staff and great coffee, this place is a find.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
