Visiting from Melbourne we went with Sydney friends for a celebration dinner. Apart from finding it hard to locate, everything was great. Busy restaurant so booking very necessary. For a restaurant so well known, it had a very laid back atmosphere. Staff very attentive and informative. Food divine, we had several shared plates- very generous servings and the tastes were... Have been wanting to dine here for quite some time to experience first hand a little of Kylie Kwong's passion for interesting and sociable food, so was extremely happy that the experience lived up to the expectations. Friendly restaurant staff, stylish and comfortable setting, interesting and well crafted food. Especially enjoyed seeing the local produce and providers listed on the... More

This was our first visit and it was truly a wonderful experience! We tried a large range of dishes and each dish was a sheer taste sensation.......subtle flavours and beautiful combinations that you could really taste and savor! The service was fantastic! We intend to revisit this place.

I have been to Billy Kwongs many times now and it never disappoints. The place is cosy and warm and great to visit in winter. The orange duck is the most amazing duck I have ever had. The orange flavour is subtle and the cherries are soft, sweet and sour. The sauce is red and sweet and spicy. The duck... More

A special treat when i visit Sydney, cannot be compared to a typical Chinese restaurant especially in regional areas where I now live - innovative, exciting and quality food - dishes like you won't experience elsewhere.

Kylie Kwong's restaurant has so much to recommend it. The wait staff are helpful but understated. The menu offers a la carte or degustation options. The wine list is excellent and cocktails are interesting, if a little expensive. The food demonstrates why this continues to attract an enthusiastic following. It is packed with flavour and making efforts to use a... More

This was a very busy restaurant, looked promising and our hotel really reviewed it. I thought it was a Chinese, but we could not read the Specials Menu, the handwriting was all scribbled and undecicive. To be fair the food was ok, but not as much choice as you would get in a normal chinese restaurant. Thought it was very... More

Billy Kwong is special and I will certainly be going back for a second visit. The staff are pleasant and the atmosphere harmonious, although on the night we went there it was rather hot inside the restaurant. We had a nice table for two by the window. We ordered the Salt Bush Cakes which were excellent and the snapper which... More

This in an amazing experience. The atmosphere is a real buzz and sitting at the bar was a bonus. The food here is fresh and it definitely attacks the taste buds. The saltbush cakes were wow and the kingfish was yum. We had a selection that also included the deep fried whiting which was great but the fish was a... More
