I ate here on 28 Jan 2016 following a recommendation from a friend as I was visiting Sydney and it was fab. I paid $81.50 for the set menu (three courses), two glasses of wine and a peppermint tea and the food was delicious. I was eating alone so was very grateful to the waitress for seating me by the... We went to the restaurant for lunch to try some good French food. We ordered snails for the first dish and they were terrible. The waiter brought them out in less than 5 mins of us ordering them and they were cold and rubbery.. For the mains I ordered the veal and mushroom dish and again it tasted like pub... More

We attended The Little Snail for supper and found the quality of the food was excellent. We ordered pate and escargot for entree, then duck and steak as mains. We recommended the restaurant to our friends and also had a group arranged. Every function was well catered. We are ready happy with the restaurant and will recommend to other friends.

I had a chance to have lunch with retired work colleagues today at the Little Snail. The cuisine, as the name suggests is predominantly French. The menu caters for most palates and the quality of the meals is superb. Escargots for entree were excellent I enjoyed these as part of the multiple choice lunch menu which was terrific values at... I made a booking here as my partner wanted to try snails. We were welcomed warmly even though it as a very busy lunch period, seated and served promptly! The snails were yum, the pate to die for and just for fun try the chilli honey bread! Worth a look on a sunny Sunday!

The food was excellent but the courses came so quickly that we felt rushed. The house red was OK, the mushroom crepe was alright but not great. However, the veal was beautifully cooked and very tender. I had the cheese plate and my partner the chocolate mousse which was, according to her, yummy. If you're in a hurry this is... More

One of my favourite places for a special dinner. Brilliant food, brilliant service, decent wine list and always a pleasure. The difficult thing is what to choose.

Staying in Darling Harbour

Neighbourhood Profile
Darling Harbour
The original docklands of Darling Harbour have been transformed into a tourist mecca with entertainment for the whole family. Cockle Bay Wharf offers dining options from budget to upscale and million dollar views of the harbour. Young crowds gather on weekends for nightlife that ranges from salsa clubs to Dj’s. Families can visit the Chinese Gardens of Friendship or the Sydney Aquarium, one of the largest in the world. The Sydney Maritime Museum and the IMAX theatre are also popular attractions. The Harbourside Shopping Centre is a site unto itself, with hundreds of shops, restaurants and bars. On Saturdays in the summer, the city puts on a spectacular fireworks show along the harbour's shore and there are plenty of other free events during the year - Darling Harbour Fiesta, VIVID’s light installations and the Sydney Festival, just to name a few.
