Stopped for an early morning coffee and was more than pleasantly surprised. Many cafes can make a good regular or small coffee but I’m hesitant to order a large because either the beans or the barristers don’t measure up. Lou’s get it right!

We visited at 10:15 today, a Sunday. I'm sorry I cannot concur with the previous recent reviews. Service was prompt and not unfriendly, but nothing special. Coffee was good, but cost $4.30 - maybe this includes a Sunday surcharge? I ordered the pesto scrambled eggs...More

The other reviews that describe this place as 'underrated' and undiscovered are spot on. This was a cool little place and I'm glad we found it. Good food (and there's quite a selection), with good service; can't go wrong.

Really lovely food, coffee is great and the customer service was brilliant! Young lady serving us was very pleasant and couldn't do enough to make sure we had everything we needed. Portions are a good size, was a lovely morning.

Great coffee and meals. Souvlaki is great with the home made taziki sauce. Whilst their menu needs an update their daily specials always providescan interesting alternative. No fancy interior but food and staff make up for the decor.

My family and I come here quite often and the food and service is always exceptional. The menu is extensive and they do eggs better than any other cafe I know. With so much competition for the breakfast/ brunch/ lunch market in Newtown Lou Jack's...More

Friendly and attentive service always with a smile. Excellent coffee and delicious ranging menu that is more then fairly priced. Have never been disappointed with the service or food/drink from this lovely family business. From the minute you walk in you feel welcome

A Bohemian inner-west suburb known for its alternative

best live music venues in the city, shows can be found
everywhere from the official theatres to the
neighbourhood pubs. From its humble beginnings as a
neighbourhood primarily known for its many Thai
