Loved it here - very friendly staff and very nice affordable pub grub. A live and was playing on Sunday evening and the Sunday roast looked amazing. Quite big with plenty of extra seating up stairs. A really nice friendly pub slap bang in the city. If you are in Sydney - well worth a visit and a bite to... More

PJ O'Brien's is a lively noisy pub with great pub food in the centre of Sydney. There is 2 levels and table service is available on the second level. Their Beef and Guiness Pie does not dissapoint neither do their prices. Our waitress was friendly and efficent and we didn't wait long for our meal to arrive. I would definitely... More

We couldn't decide, menu exceptionally good. Curry chicken, seafood chowder, Irish sausages, beef and Guinness pie and barramundi; all were fantastic. Fresh, hot tasty and I had a bit of each to be sure, to be sure. Pint of Guinness and a Kilkenny; the staff were attentive and beautifully Irish. This would be my local if I lived in the... More

I came in for a pint and a meal to help my jet lag and to keep me awake on a Saturday evening. I had chicken burger and chips along with a pint of Big Yak pale ale. Beer was good food was mediocre but did the job.

Had a great time in Sydney, the highlight being a night out in a pub called O'Briens. Only went in for dinner but fell out the door six hours later a stumbling mess. The soakage in there is top notch, the pints as good as you'll get in Australia and the bar staff were sound as a pound, especially this... More

I had lunch here and it was fantastic - I ordered the seafood chowder, hands down the nicest food I have had in Sydney. Staff were really helpful and the atmosphere was good.

This pub is located a short walk from Darling Harbour. It has a warm friendly vibe with plenty of tables available when we visited. TV's abound for those interested in sport. The menu is what you would expect from a typical Irish Pub menu at reasonable prices. A good selection of local and international beers served by friendly staff. I... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
