P.J.O'OBRIENS Irish Pub York Street Sydney Recommended by the concierge at our hotel, we dropped into P.J. O'Briens Irish Pub for a late dinner. We were greeted by a noisy, busy pub filled with customers. We went upstairs were the noise level wasn't as high...More

Dropped by on a Saturday afternoon for some food and a couple of beers. The Guinness was great, enjoyed that loads. Food came reasonable quickly and was good pub fare. It's not standout food, but it's good enough for a pub. I'd go back for...More

Ordered the eye fillet steak with mushroom sauce, chips with garden salad. Fair to say, it got the job done. Steak was listed as 250 grams, but seemed more like 180g to me. Ordered a few glasses of the Vic Stag chardonnay which was quaffable....More

Had a very good meal after a busy and hectic day of walking and sightseeing. Seafood chowder was like no other I have had. Not overloaded with potatoe, but lots of fish, vegetables and wonderfully creamy - worth trying

Dropped in for a couple of beers with friends and the vibe was so pleasant we stayed for dinner. The food was your quintessential pub food with generous portions served by an all Irish crew.....good value all round.

We ate at PJ O'Brien's twice, and it was jam-packed and raucous each time. The hardworking waitstaff were too few for the very large number of drinkers and diners - but they stayed smiling and kept plugging. The pub grub was certainly filling, even if...More

Though a little loud this is a good place to eat and drink. The Beef and Guiness pie is highly recommended.
