If you're looking for tasteless food, significantly overpriced menu, and a night of frustration from trying to flag down the waiters, this is your place. The food was over salted, exaggerately priced, the paella was more like a watery risotto, the squid was like sour, chewy rubber. I had to wave down the staff to get their attention - they... More

We went to this restaurant using a Groupon voucher on a Saturday night. We were seated in the front of the restaurant (it looked like there was an outdoor section too) next to the front windows which was a lovely part of the restaurant. The restaurant had a good atmosphere and the tapas, pizza and drinks we had was mostly... More

If I didn't buy Groupon I will never come to this place, I was hoping that we can have a lovely night here--- oh hell. We bought $49 voucher to spend for $100 value. But the price here is ridiculous: six FROZEN prawns for 17 dollars! OMG. I was really disappointed with the garlic prawns as they taste absolutely no... More

On a busy night, the kitchen took little care to keep standards. On the whole many of the tapas dishes were a little salty. Rather disappointed too with the freshness of seafood, especially the mussels with meats so small that I believed they were in their last days of life and I'm sure they could really afford sourcing better prawns that... My husband and I bought voucher form Groupon. The voucher was worth $200 and bought it for $60 (not sure if this is correct may be bit $$ but not more than $80) We used the voucher - and ordered chorizo pipis lamb and mains - paella Valenciana - grilled carne (for two people) and of course a jug of... Food OK BUT too noisy, too squashed in (fire danger rating?), climate control poor, abominable service. Pleasurable dining is about seamless service, being able to follow a conversation, enjoy the company of friends rather than having to fight for staff attention and not having to climb over people to get to the loo... Is this a matter of profits over... More

They do half price tapas on mondays which is a huge success. Great food and fantastic flamingo dancers. Been there 3 times and it fails to dissapoint.

We chose this place randomly on a Sunday evening as we wandered down Glebe Point Rd. In hindsight, we should have read reviews first! We ordered from the a la carte menu, choosing two tapas dishes and a paella. If the wait staff were more knowledgeable, they would have suggested we take the $45 per head banquet menu and we... Very disappointed with the food and the value for money. Probably ok if you have never been to Spain and are happy to expensive small dishes. All around the dishes we ordered were not very Tasty: garlic prawns was very oily, the tortilla was tiny, the garlic mushrooms was bathing in their sauce, the chorizo was chewy and the bread... Service of the restaurant so so. Nice location and really nice ambient, it feels you are really in a spanish tapas bar! We ordered 2 tapas which were good and then a seafood platter which was a bit overcooked... Probably it would have been better to order a paella! Only negative thing was the total absence of salt in the... More

Staying in Glebe

Neighbourhood Profile
Glebe
An inner city suburb along the water, Glebe has a deep-rooted sense of cultural history and heritage. It originated as a semi-rural resort for the well-to-do, but has transformed into a student-centric melting pot. Visit Glebe Point Road for ethnic cuisine as standard as Mexican, Indian, Italian and Chinese, or as diverse as Spanish, Bavarian, Polish, Czech and Lebanese. You will find that Glebe is accepting of the eccentrics and aboriginals that roam the streets, integrating students and people of all economic statuses into the multi-cultural fabric that distinguishes this suburb. Glebe Foreshore is a great destination for a leisurely walk along the Bay, and the Saturday market is a great scene for bargain hunters.
