I was getting coffee at Mecca and accidentally found this great eatery inside of Grace hotel. It was after the lunch hour (2pm) so the place was quiet and the food came super fast! We ordered Chicken Laksa and Hainan Chicken with rice and soup. The portion was so generous and laksa wasn't too thick and had a clean tasting... More

Service was great, portions were indeed generous and except for the Beef Rendang (which was great) the other meals ordered were less than average in flavour and authenticity. Reasonably priced but considering most of our meals were left on the plate it wasn't all that reasonable.

Situated in the Grace Hotel on York St Sydney, this food outlet gets really busy and you can see why. It opens only from 11:00 to 15:00 Monday to Friday and serves authentic Malaysian food including Laksa, Wok fried and curries. Clearly it's customers are mainly from the CBD offices but that doesn't stop you joining the queue. Loved the... More

The laksa here is consistently good. Handy place to stop for lunch. Staff can be a little offhand at times.

As I work in the CBD close to Wynyard, we tend to venture out for lunch each day. Last week we decided to try several places for Chicken Laksa (spicy version). Out of the 3 restaurants we frequented, this was head and shoulders above the rest. The restaurant is quite nice, the staff were friendly and the Laksa was the... More

Perfect place for quick lunch get-together with friends.it is just behind the Grace Hotel, or you could say I use the back entrance, which takes me into the hotel, yet secluded. I love the Laksa and the Satay Chicken with Rice. Keep going back there

Ordered a Nasi Goreng and was pretty disgusting. Very surprised at how quick it came out. Was pre-cooked, the meat (chicken) was all stringy and dried. Had the combination with the prawns and the prawns was barely cooked what just got added into the pre-cooked Nasi Goreng and reheated in the Microwave style. The taste was no good and was... More

Baba Laksa is the rare find authentic Malaysian restaurant located inside the Sydney 4 star Grace Hotel. 3 reasons I highly recommend it to the foodies especially those who are allergic or sensitive to MSG, like me: 1. its authentic traditional Malaysian home cooking style, 2. delicious food without compromised by monosodium L-glutamate (MSG- a common favouring enhancer used in... Their Laksa is so ordinary. I gave them a second chance, went back and ordered Nasi Goreng. I have never had a bad Nasi Goreng in Sydney. I am easy to please when it comes to Asian food. This was so bad. Its just rice tossed in oil, Soy sauce and frozen veggies. That is home made fried rice, not... More

Went there for lunch and was blown away by the crowd there. Laksa was reasonably priced and portion was big too. Definitely a good place to visit whenever there is craving.
