Our last minute booking was accommodated easily so we were a little wary of what the food was going to be like. We were greeted by friendly staff who took our order promptly. We ordered the set menus and the food arrived within minutes. Every course was delicious and the one course was better than the last. There was so... More

We enjoyed a wonderful meal. There are 4 or 5 Lebanese restaurants around this corner. The prophet's service was friendly and efficient. The food we ate was all fresh and extremely tasty. Great Lebanese food finished off with a terrific coffee. Reasonably priced and highly recommended. Simple and unpretentious.

We went for dinner in a large group which was well accommodated. It's BYO so that was a plus...but that's were the positives end. We all ordered the banquet, dips and tabouli were great and full of flavour, but all other dishes were bland and meat was way overcooked.

Have been going to this restaurant occasionally for over 20 years. Still a great place for a nice, very reasonably priced Lebanese meal - BYO wine/beer etc. Small, so booking probably advisable (although no trouble getting in on a Sunday night without booking ahead) - Love it !

Eating at The Prophet is the same as eating home cooked Lebanese food. There are no glass fronted counters with trays of falafel, tabbouleh, slowly drying out, as you find in most Lebanese Restaurants. Instead, you place your order and everything, including the falafel and the tabbouleh, is made fresh in the kitchen. You can order simple, as we did... More

I used to go to this restaurant in my twenties when I lived in the inner city of Sydney. Recently returned with my family prior to going to a Sydney Swans match. We were greeted so warmly and then served the most tasty food. The peppers and olives as a starter are great. We had a banquet for two and... More

Great Lebanese food, friendly and efficient service. Love the cinnamon tea to finish. Will definitely be back next time in Sydney.

Terrible experience at lunch time, no atmosphere and very expensive. Customer service was appalling, I basically asked if the meat served at this restaurant was Halal. A standard question at all kebab stores and also one that's required for me, as a Muslim. In response, the man serving me replied, "Why would it be halal, what makes you think our... More

We've been eating at this fabulous restaurant for at least 26 years now and always come away happy. Michael, the owner and chef, and his nephew Mark are such hospitable hosts we always feel like we are being welcomed into their home. The food is beautifully fresh and abundant, real home cooked Lebanese that leaves you craving for more but... More

I have been going to the prophet for some time and thought it was about time I did a review... one of my top favourites. The food is excellent and very well priced I particularly like the spinach pie and as a bonus you can buy one to take home perfectly packed ready for the oven pastry being uncooked so... More
