The location was great we were looked after very well, I made the booking online from the UK with a request for a waterfront table which was catered for our view was fantastic looking down the harbour with the harbour bridge on one side and the Opera house on the other what could be better! The food was excellent although... More

Beautiful setting with a fantastic view of the Opera House. In & Outdoor dinning facilities. Sat outside and had 2 pizzas, a salad and 2 beverages for 92 AUS. The pizzas were tasty but luke warm, the ruccola salad was plentiful and tasty. Service was mediocre and slow.

We remembered Wolfies Grill from a previous visit to Sydney twenty years ago and returned to find it is still a very popular restaurant with good service and a wide menu to choose from. We went for dinner and enjoyed nicely cooked steaks and the bitter chocolate and salted caramel tart with sorbet and cream was delicious! A lively atmosphere... More

My wife and I decided to eat here for dinner before a concert at the opera house. I had been there many years before and remember it being quite good. I had actually wanted to go to The Waterfront next door but it was closed (almost looked closed for good). We didn't have a reservation, but were given a table... More

Visited here twice while in Sidney. Very popular, which means crowded at peak times. Good range of food options on the menu, unsurprisingly seafood biased. Second visit was with a group so we had a private room upstairs. Very nice. Wonderful view of the opera house. Good quality food.

Came here for a company dinner - so there were 60+ of us. We had a big private room and the food was wonderful considering how many of us were there! The service was also very good and attentive. What I especially liked was that because some people did not show up they asked if each table wanted the "extra"... More

We enjoyed a light lunch at Wolfie's Grill on our first day in Sydney. They have an eclectic menu and the service was prompt, courteous, and professional. The food was above average but the best part of the meal was the open air dining right off the waterfront. It had a wonderful ambiance and the people watching was great.

TripAdvisor lists Waterfront and Wolfies, Waterfront Restaurant and Wolfies Grill all with similar addresses on Circular Key West. Judging by some of the comments and the various addresses, many refer to the same restaurant whose website and invoicing address is #27. Anyway my wife and I enjoyed a light Saturday lunch at Wolfies despite the nickel and dime $AUS5 p.p.... More

Every time in Sydney we visit Wolfie's and this time twice. Setting is fabulous on the waterfront and usually tables are found quite quickly even if you haven't booked but reservations are advisable.Food is very good, service ,even when full is good .Menu is extensive as is the wine list - had the seafood platter one evening with bugs, prawns,... Four of us dined here for dinner for my mother's birthday. The location and views are spectacular. Ovations of the Sea was docked but departed when we were dining so this was an added bonus that the Opera House then became visible from where we were sitting. Staff here are all unfriendly. Sydneysiders are just not conversationalist. They too are... More

Staying in The Rocks

Neighbourhood Profile
The Rocks
The first residents of the Rocks were convicts and sailors from the old nation. As the oldest neighbourhood in the city, the area's cobblestone streets host more than 100 heritage sites and buildings, including the oldest house in Sydney, Camden Cottage, which was built in 1816. Taste a “midi “ or a “schooner” of beer and dine “al fresco” on the waterfront at some of the oldest pubs in Sydney. The weekend markets at the Rocks are where you can find local artists' hand-made souvenirs, organic food and designer jewelry in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. To enjoy some of the best Australian and international contemporary art, the MCA museum is open every day and select evenings. At the end of a long day of sightseeing, be sure to save energy to dance the night away at the area's many late night entertainment venues.
