We have been here before on other trips to Sydney from Europe, so we were looking forward to returning. I won't be racing back, as there are better venues for Chinese food. The Peking duck was sliced in such a fashion it was very hard to eat with the pancakes. Service was rushed and we were served at their pace,... More

Chinese New Year we celebrated with friends at this restaurant. It was clean and busy. Food was good. No bargain specials that some places were offering.

This was an annual Christmas celebratory dinner hosted by my wife’s employer. They are most often genuinely good Chinese restaurants so we were looking forward to discovering Emperor Garden BBQ & Noodles. Upon arrival, the exterior was a little unusual as the kitchen is glazed and curb-side, however on entering appeared that the food must be outstanding to warrant us... More

Opposite Paddy's Market and one of the 'establishment' Chinese restaurants offering what I judge to be truly authentic meals at slightly above the prices at nearby venues. It was worth the $30 to enjoy a Peking Duck feast of generous proportions.

Wanted to eat Japanese but the good one nearby must have moved or closed. So reading the ad outside this place which claims free range chicken so decide to give it a go. Chatted to the waiter who claims they supply 80% of the Cantonese roast meat in China Town... Basically quality of roast duck and steamed chicken is not... More

We bought takeaways here the whole time we stayed at aaron's hotel which is just across from it. Loved all the food we bought, very tasty and cheap, big servings. Takeaways ordered by the window (serving area) took only 5 mins to prepare. Fast service!

The BBQ ducks hanging in the window were a drawcard for those who love duck as a dish and we both do. The decor was traditional with the red lanterns and a very large chinese brush painting. Fast service with very obliging staff. Our duck desire was quickly quelled as our dishes promptly arrived. Reasonable pricing $15 each for a... More

We had a party of three for dinner on a Saturday night (2 adults one child). Service was quick and there was a number of seats available. The decor is a little dated. We chose the BBQ pork and Duck plate, vegetable noodles, sizzling king prawns and boiled BBQ and Duck were tasty however the noodles and king prawns were... More

First had a taste of the restaurant's excellent roast duck 3 years ago when I first spotted it hung at the glass display, with the chef slickly carving it up. I had 2 portions of roast duck with rice, plain fried vegetables and a fried noodle as takeaway. Tucked all 4 parts in and still could have more. Tried it... More
