We visited Encasa before going to the theatre. Glad we had booked as extrenely busy. We ordered the paella with prawns and calamari. It was delicious and had a great depth of flavour. The prawns and calamari were perfectly cooked. The staff were attentive, friendly and courteous. The tapas menu looked great, so will try that next time.

We have been to Encasa a few times. It's always pretty busy and it is advisable to book ahead. It can get pretty noisy in there too which makes normal conversation difficult. The food is good and the prices are reasonable. We've had decent service there in the past but tonight we were very disappointed. After being seated we were... More

We have been going to this restaurant for twenty plus years and it never disappoints. Even when changing hands several times it is still the best place in Sydney for tapas. Can be a little noisy but so are Spanish bars! If you want Spanish meals this is the place to go

Im sitting in the restaurant having devoured garlic prawn and mussels. The waitress kindly suggested a bread roll to soak up all the delicious juices. Some places don't like a solo diner but this place is fabulous. Great food. Great service. I'm just sitting here trying to make room for lamb skewers. You need to book.

In a city that I think struggles for gourmet cheap eats, Encasa sits at the top of the pile for a lunch time bite for me (admittedly they are pricey for a sandwich). The sandwiches are huge (the steak one should really be split between two but you know you want your own!) the the quality of the bread and... More

We went here for a tapas and pizza dinner before a show and enjoyed the food greatly. A word of warning for parents, we got the meatballs with almond sauce and it arrived so hot that my husband burnt himself on the sauce trying to serve himself and had to keep running to the bathroom to run cold water over... we loved the food - tortilla with taste salad and goats cheese. The sourdough with garlic and tomato ....yum. Definitely go again. Friendly waitress from Madrid 😊

Our family of 4 (including 2 teenagers) wanted to try a Spanish meal while in Sydney and booked Encasa via tripadvisor/Dimmi. We brought a bottle of sparking wine and the waitress kindly provided a ice bucket. (A$10 BYO charge). When we arrived at 7pm on a Friday night, the restaurant was full of folks eating heartily. The crowd was a... More

During our recent travels to Sydney, Australia on Thanksgiving week, we went to Encasa restaurant on Pitt Street twice and both times we enjoyed our food. The portion size was good as was the quality. The dessert that was recommended to us was awesome. All in all, this restaurant offers good food, ambiance and excellent service. I would highly recommend... More

Our server was from Barcelona. We had papas bravas (potatoes in a spicy sauce) grilled octopus, giant prawns, lamb skewers and grilled sausage with beers from Spain. Seems to be a popular spot with locals and busy at lunch. Has a wood fired oven at the front where pizzas and breads were baking. Initially were offered the worst table even... More
