We were very hopeful knowing Tetsuyas reputation but we were quite crushed that our special meal was such a unenjoyable experience. The food was unimpressive but the experience was made all the poorer for the attitude of the staff. Fine dining does not require staff...More

We took two very old friends to selebrate a reunion. Excellent service and food, and the Australian wine pairing was the best I have had. Our favourite courses were the Bigeye Tuna, Confit of Ocean Trout, and the Wagyu short ribs. The service was non...More

Vacationing in Sydney and took my wife here for her birthday dinner. Incredible meal. Phenomenal wine list. Great service. Couldn’t ask for more. Probably the best restaurant in Australia. Can’t wait for my next meal.

We visited their outlet in Singapore, however the Tetsuya Sydney is completely different and great in terms of service, style of cuisine, wine collection, decoration, service and pricing. The food is really delicious Australia-French-Japanese The wine pairing of Australia/NewZealand selection is near perfect and well...More

I had always wanted to go to this restaurant. I have been a fan of Tet's for a very long time. How he sources only the finest ingredients from Tasmania and abroad. I booked months in advance and the waiting time went so slow. Once...More

This place relies on it's exclusivity. For the price you could have much better experiences. The food was fine but in no way amazing and certainly did not reflect the price. There are much better options out there.

Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with
energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise
buildings and after-work drink places, high-end
shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners
frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a
dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit
the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle,
reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens

Tetsuya's serves a ten course degustation menu. The degustation is unique, based on the Japanese philosophy of using natural seasonal flavours, enhanced by classic French technique and utilising the freshest possible ingredients. Tetsuya designed his own on-site "test kitchen" within the restaurant to enable him to create the constantly evolving and inspiring dishes on which he has built his esteemed international reputation. Tetsuya's offers one of Sydney's most comprehensive wine lists and our sommeliers will, upon request, match the dishes with wine available by the glass.
