A short walk from Wynyard train station, bustling with corporate patrons at lunch time peak. Nothing compares to this reasonably priced special laksa... very well seasoned with fresh ingredients. Try the chicken and seafood variety which you will surely enjoy. The place is packed even before noon. So try to go early and get a table to savour your meal... More

An unassuming, busy, café-style eatery, their laksa and har mee are among the best one can get in Sydney. The nasi lemak and chicken rice are also very good. We were there for lunch on a Saturday and it was crowded. Expect to share a table with like-minded strangers paying reasonable prices for authentic Malaysian hawker food. We have been... More

It's busy, it's hot, it's a long wait..... but it's well worth it. The Laksa I had here was the best I've ever had in Sydney, and if you can get over the poor ambience and 'queue line' wait lists then your taste buds will thank you for your perseverance,

Nothing fancy, more like a cafe, but the food was very nice and very reasonably priced. Good place to drop in for almost fast food style malaysian.(although the taste is very good).

King prawn Laksa or the skinless Chicken Laksa are the best (especially with added chillies). You need to get there early especially if it's the Friday lunch time rush, today the line to order was out the door (they move you through quite quickly for takeaway so don't let that put you off). I've been eating their Laksa for 20... More

Consistently good laksa and Hainan chicken rice make this place so popular with locals. And the prices are cheap too.

Food court vibe, place order and food is out within minutes. Busy at lunchtimes, hard to seat groups. Food is delicious, service is great.

Unassuming and quietly located at 58 Hunter Street in the Sydney CBD this restaurant has succeeded in preparing a local Penang favourite - Curry Laksa as it should be - just as it is in Penang the street food capital of the world. The owner who hails from Penang has maintained the original flavours magnificently. The flavour and texture of... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
