I ordered the lunch special, 250G rump steak medium rare. It come out medium to medium well. It was terrible. It was dry and tough. I would rather pay $35 to have the perfect wagyu sirloin at Chef Ryan's Wilmot restaurant in Hotel Primus Sydney!!!

I love this place. The food is pretty straight forward pub forward, but it is always fresh and tasty. The drinks wont send you broke. I always visit at lunch, and the place is always full, so plenty of people think the same. Definitely recomended

The St James is the very definition of Australian pub food. Looking for a schnitzel or a steak or fish and chips and a beer or class of house wine at a reasonable prices, not to concerned about the views or decor, in the Sydney CBD? This is the place for you.

Stopped in for lunch and had the salmon fillet. Cooked extremely well and very very tasty, the staff are always quick to offer a warm welcome. I'll be back, maybe even today!

We were in the city for the day and found this Hotel with a great range of food for lunch. I had the turkey wrap and my hubby had the Steak special. The food was prepared to our liking and the service was quick. Will come again next time in the city.

We stopped here on the way home from town and had a light meal. We have 2 glasses of bubbly for $4.50 each a pumpkin, beetroot and quinoa salad and a chicken wrap with big chips. Our meals were satisfying and very tasty and very cheap.

We stumbled across here after leaving the Botanic Gardens. We have found Australia expensive for food so this was a real surprise. It was cheap so we were not expecting much. However my wifes steak was superb and I loved the beer and the fish. Not haute cuisine but highly recommended if you are in Sydney and on a budget.

The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park.
