The views are as brilliant as ever but that's where the nostalgia ends. We returned there this month, after not having been for years. Apart from the maitre de', who was professional, the service was poor. The waiters do not appear to have been trained....More

One of my favourite restaurants in Sydney. It doesn't matter how long between visits, the quality of food and service is always spot on. For me, it’s all about the snapper pie. Don't think about it. Just book and enjoy.

Great fish restaurant well off the beaten path, but if you love fish you must give it a try. Can't remember how many different types of Oysters they have on the menu and the fish pie definitely a favourite.

The Boathouse at Blackwattle Bay has a lovely ambienece in a beautiful location. The meals however are very overpriced. I would have expected that the snapper pie be served as a single individual portion. Not so. What we got was a piece of pie you would...More

While not cheap, the food was excellent! We tried the oysters (one of each of the kinds available) and the signature Fish Pie.... all were fantastic! I also had this amazing Mocktail that was sweetness in a glass. The view is beautiful even if the...More

It's a nice place but I didn't find it pretentious. You would be equally comfortable and at ease in suit and tie or nice jeans. Personally I went in suit with no tie.
