The oyster menu is out of this world. The signature dish (fish pie) is a must have. Staff and service are excellent. Outlook is just picturesque. Cannot fault on any level.

The food was to die for. We did oysters from all available states of Australia. The waiter was right, the Tathra Rocks were delicious - small but perfectly yummy. Don't miss the Roasted Yamba Prawns. I had the roasted Trevalla with pippies and peas and my partner the Roasted Barramundi with roast chicken and carrot jus! With a bottle of... More

The restaurant it's self is very nice. I think there would be a nice view of the water from every table which I thought was good. The service was very prompt which I liked. Food was nice although I'm not a huge lover of seafood they had other options for me. My husband on the other hand said it was... More

The salt and pepper mud crab was excellent, my wife loved the oyster selection from around Australia and the views were great.

We did book in advance but obviously not far in advance to get a window table for our Anniversary. Despite this we had a beautiful boat ride to the restaurant, sampled some amazing oysters, had the huge pie which could be shared between two girls (my hubby however ate the whole of his) and were presented beautiful petit fours with... My friend and I went to this restaurant for dinner to celebrate our birthdays so were looking forward to a good fish meal with some decent wine. I am not a local to Sydney so did not know what to expect and as we were walking around Blackwattle Bay we went in here impromptu. The service from our waitress was... More

We lunched at the Boathouse (where we have eaten on many other occasions) and, like most reviewers, enjoyed the beautiful setting, the magnificent views, and the good (if overpriced) food. The menu is imaginative and the cocktail and wine list is very good. The whole experience should be a pleasure. However, the problem this time was the service. We were... More

Situated over the water the venue is superb. The produce is fresh and the fish cooked to perfection. One of Sydney's better restaurants. We keep going back for more.

We literally just finished our meal here. Service was shocking from the moment we arrived - there is very poor signage to the entrance (which by the way is on the left hand side at the end of the pier even though it doesn't look like it), when we went back to the front the valet attendant rolled his eyes... Had a lovely meal at this great waterside restaurant. Lovely views, good atmosphere, great attentive service. Oyster, Caviar, and Snapper pie. Couldn't fault it. Wine and beer superb. Bit on the expensive side but that's Sydney.

Staying in Glebe

Neighbourhood Profile
Glebe
An inner city suburb along the water, Glebe has a deep-rooted sense of cultural history and heritage. It originated as a semi-rural resort for the well-to-do, but has transformed into a student-centric melting pot. Visit Glebe Point Road for ethnic cuisine as standard as Mexican, Indian, Italian and Chinese, or as diverse as Spanish, Bavarian, Polish, Czech and Lebanese. You will find that Glebe is accepting of the eccentrics and aboriginals that roam the streets, integrating students and people of all economic statuses into the multi-cultural fabric that distinguishes this suburb. Glebe Foreshore is a great destination for a leisurely walk along the Bay, and the Saturday market is a great scene for bargain hunters.
