We visited with two 14yo lads and loved it. The service was fantastic, efficient never without water or a drink. We ate mains and dessert and we were all very happy with our meals. My son loved his aged steak the first time he had tried. The desserts were perfect. Would definitely recommend to visit. Some may think it pricey... More

I visited with my partner and we both enjoyed every dish. The gnocchi was exceptional, I just needed one more piece on my plate to be a very happy girl. Hubby had a steak which was so good - the smokey flavour was lovely. Dessert and wines were lovely too as was the waiter service - very professional. We choose... More

Steel Bar and Grill is in an excellent location of the CBD, right near central station. Outdoor seating on the deck, tables and booths inside. It is sophisticated and classy in its styling and would be great for a date, business meetings or a friends catch-up. They also inform us they do a $5 drink for happy hour everyday 5-7.... More

Atmosphere is nice and service is excellent but food is pretty average, does not worth the money. Salmon was fine but few leaves around were burned and not appetising.

In the company of friends I recently enjoyed a memorable lunch at Steel. The service was great from the moment we arrived, and the staff friendly and highly attentive. The menu remains as impressive as ever, with an array of dishes to satisfy any taste. We shared a few starters - the seafood dishes a standout - and each had... More

After sitting down to our table, took a while to get a waiters attention to get our order but when they finally did, Antonio was our waiter for the night and was really professional and provided us with his great customer service. Food was amazing in particular the confit calamari, steak and the Patagonian tooth fish that was recommended and... More

Christmas lunch with important clients. Great service, especially as the sommelier gave advice on the wine. Very good food all round. I ordered the goats cheese which was superb, followed by the Angus beef, cooked just the way I prefer, slightly scarred but beautifully pink inside. My only gripe, a minor one is that if you order the coffee afterwards it... More

Went here for a business lunch. It was nice to sit outside but you look over a path and construction area. The steaks are good. However the restaurant had run out of the fish of the day at 12.45 and the time we waited for our meals was a little long. Particularly important when it is a business lunch on... More

We booked this restaurant because it was close to where we were staying and had some great vegetarian choices. It was one of the most divine meals we have had. For my starter I had delicious zucchini flowers coated in tempura batter and for my main, I ordered gnocchi which was so tasty. My husband had scallops for entree which... More
