Been around for years but keeps delivering, food, service and views unmatched in Sydney. Great wines too and always a buzzy atmosphere, highly recommended.

Birthday celebration with friends and Cafe Sydney did not disappoint. Subtle flavours, beautifully presented and wonderfully prepared. There is plenty of choice on the menu and the wine list is extensive. The staff were so professional and helpful. A wonderful visit.

This was our second visit. We had a table on the balcony - it looked as thought it might rain but it didn't. Great views over iconic Sydney Harbour. Meal was excellent. Prawns for starters - fantastic. main course and sweets excellent also. Staff very friendly and attentive - a manager was present making sure everything was satisfactory. Definitely will... More

We came here at 8pm with a booking that we needed to make well in advance. We were seated with an anazing view over the harbour - which was a real highlight. There were four of us for dinner and we ordered the Seafood Platter which was exceptional - fresh seafood. I had the Pork Belly main - which was... More

We went here on business dinner for the furst time and had a wonderful experience. Started near the bar with a cheese platter and drinks, cheses and fruits were excellent quality and decent value. Meal was served to our balcony table overlooking the harbour and bridge. We were lucky enough that they were twsting the light show for Vivid festival... More

We were 11 of us in total for a 70th birthday, all the family! It was Saturday night, sitting inside with great views. The problem with this place (not my first time) is that if you are in a group, you sort of get squashed in, and to be honest, the service is poor, especially for the price. Maybe if... More

I do love this restaurant, I have been multiple times and it has always pleased. The views are amazing, especially on the balcony (which is a bit chilly during winter) and during the evening. My last view however, was a little disappointing getting raw salmon, when I specifically asked for it to be cooked well. But it didn't spoil the... More

I went to with friends for birthday celebrating. Almost main menu was around $40 dollar. I ordered crispy pork and scallops. As I am very small girl and I had few drinks before get there, and we ordered few bread for entries, but the potion of main menu was too small. I got 2 pieces of pork croquette and 2... More

We had a table for 8 inside (May is a little chilly on the balcony) but still with views over Circular Quay, lucky enough to experience fireworks on the Harbour with the bridge in the background which is not a bad way to eat! The scene couldn't have been much better. Food was fantastic although the service was slow (45... More

We booked a table on the balcony for the 5-7pm time slot in May 2017. Fabulous view of sunset over Sydney Circular Quay relaxing with an Expresso Martini and Bloody Mary - extra spicy for my man! Lovely way to celebrate hubby's special zero birthday. Food was good quality and service was attentive. Not a cheap night out but worth... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
