A great place for lunch and are real hidden gem. I love Japanese and didn't know this was there. Options for both a cheap meal with plenty of choices off the set menu or there is the separate fine dining menu. Great food great service great place.

This is a real favourite of mine for lunch with colleagues and clients in the city. The freshness is amazing and the standard of food quality has been so consistent over many years. The service is also incredible, it's quite the Japanese experience but the are always so friendly it's like visiting family. We always get the sashimi plus the... More

This place serves very authentic Japanese food. The quality of the sashimi and the chef recomended special is indeed truly unique. Each dishes is served with precision. Don't be fooled by the simple and traditional decoration.

I was recommended the restaurant by the Concierge at the Hotel on a Friday night where I had not made any reservations. Located off a quiet street, we were well taken care off. Food was great and they were flexible on portion sizes. The dish I enjoyed the most was the blue swimmer crab miso soup. A bit messy but... More

If you love sashimi this restaurant is a great choice. The food is high quality and simplistic. You can try a wide variety of sashimi, hard to come by in other Japanese restaurants.

I disagree with previous reviews that claim Kabuki is overpriced. There were four of us and we all had the $35 lunch special upgraded to $40 to have teriyaki beef in place of chicken. The food was all very good with the beef worth the upgrade. The sashimi was not as good as what I enjoyed last time (the sashimi... More

quality of the food is great, but everything comes in very small portion. After spending $230 for 6 adults 1 child, still need to go to the near-by eatery for a bowl of ramen before feeling full. The place is bit run down, need some renovation. Don't think we will go back again.

Great food, nice atmosphere, adequate service standard. Probably a bit overpriced - $35 was the special lunch deal which was lovely but not the best valued Japanese lunch in Sydney.

Having been fortunate to eat at most of the posh sushi places in Sydney, I was a little reluctant to try a quiet, unknown quantity (recommended by Concierge). I am very happy I did, and have been back many times. The chef, staff, owner are all fun. The menu is diverse (you can order from the other restaurant across the... More
