The food, the setting, the young Italian waiters ! , made me feel like I was in Italy. A fabulous all round experience. I didn't want to leave. They know service. They have enough staff on, and just the right level of service with grace...More

One of my favourite Italian restaurants in the world. A Tavola is authentic, fabulous and very special. You feel transported here in a very good way. Impeccable food and service. The stuffed olives are straight out of Ascoli Pienza. Amazing!

It's always reassuring when how enter an Italian restaurant and the waiters and chefs are actually Italian! The place is stylish, has a great atmosphere, and most importantly, great food. The ragu was amazing!!!

This place serves some of Sydney's best Italian food. I'd recommend ordering a bunch of dishes and sharing so that you can get a taste of everything. Also get the cappuccino dessert, it's fantastic! A Tavola also caters exceptionally well for people who are gluten...More

Italian food, the way it supposed to be! Forget everything you know about the way Italian food should be, and go directly to A Tavola! The service is excellent, and pasta is FRESH! Ask the server the special, and enjoy! Save room for dessert!

We really enjoyed our evening - food (pasta) and atmosphere were great. We have such great Australian wines that I avoid European wines in Australia but I had one of the nicest red wines (Italian) there that I have had in a long time. Definitely...More

Simply put - this has to be one of the best restaurants I've visited in many years. After being warmly welcomed, and thoroughly briefed on the menu by a very entertaining and charming waiter, we began with excellent wines from a well-sourced list. Beginning with...More

If you're after an individual table I'd recommend booking. I've only ever been as a walk-in and have always been seated on the communal table (Darlinghurst). Whilst I haven't requested an individual table as a walk-in, I... More

Description
A Tavola was established in 2007 in buzzing Darlinghurst on Victoria Street by chef owner Eugenio Maiale. A Tavola quickly earnt a reputation of being one of Sydney's best places to go for authentic Italian pasta. The long marble table is filled with loyal and regular diners - all seduced by the simplicity and honesty of Eugenio's food and especially his love of good pasta.
