This is great food mixed with attentive service. Grab a stein of beer and tuck into the generous fried Camembert, and then the schnitzel, mushroom sauce, sauerkraut and Rosti is to die for. Generous helpings, relaxed but great service, great food. Hard to beat for friends or family

Ok chicken snitzel. Nothing to write home about. Just a place to go if you need a feed to fill the belly. The boy enjoys it.

Had a chicken schnitzel sandwich, with tomato, lettuce and dressing for lunch, and saw those famous schnitzels going past to other tables...ummm. Whilst the menu is the same it is superb food and you need to get in there and gorge yourself. The rosti and other sides are to die for - get in there, you'll never regret it, you'll... More

Standard German food. We were surprised at all the up charges they had - using a credit card, eating on a Sunday or holiday, bringing in your own cake, minimum food charge, etc.. Service was OK.

Schitnzels, rosti & sauerkraut - what more could you ask for? Ah yes, cracking drinks menu and excellent customer service. Both the waitress and bar tender were fab. Huge portions and great value for money. x x c

Walking around the neighborhood, Una's is always busy. We stopped in for dinner on impulse. The service was no-nonsense and might seem brusque to some who have not traveled or lived in Germany. The snitzels were huge. My wife and I ordered the jager and the ziguener snitzels. Each plate had two snitzel cutlets and a large order of chips... More

It was pleasingly open and busy on new year's day, so I dropped in for the first time in years. Started with fried camembert, which was unfortunately served cold. The goulash was much better, with very tender meat cooked in a metric ton of paprika, although it was overshadowed by a mountain of spaetzle, which got a bit tiring and... More

We had high hopes when we walked into a fully packed restaurant. I really don't understand why! The only positive is that the portions are big so two of us shared meals between the four of us, but the bill still came to $80. So I wouldn't say it was great value. The service is SO RUDE I would never... More

Great service which is swift and to the point, no mucking about in here. You get your schnitzel and beer instantly and the German manager is so fast he looks like he is on roller skates. No need for small talk just serve, smash the massive schnitzels and drink beer and schnapps. HEAVEN. The schnitzels are not only large they... More

We ordered 3 different schnitzels and a vegetarian strudel. Each were delightful and tastie. They were also quite plentiful as only one meal was finished completely. Definitely a place we can return to.

Staying in Darlinghurst

Neighbourhood Profile
Home of the small bar revolution in Sydney, Darlinghurst has more bars per capita than any other suburb. Themes range from American whiskey bars and 1950’s theme bars to hidden bars requiring secret passwords. Oxford Street is the "Gay Capital" of Australia, where gay and lesbian-friendly venues feature “diva shows” and dancing until the morning. Vintage lovers flock to Crown Street, and small designer boutiques can be found along Victoria and Bourke Streets. Dining in Darlinghurst is a gastronomic adventure. Food from all over the world is on the menu, from American ribs to tapas, sushi to gelato and every ethnicity in between.
