We were looking for a bite to eat mid-afternoon and decided to stop in. While it sounds like a sports bar, it’s not sports bar food. I had a chicken Caesar salad and my husband had the spaghetti. Both were generous portions and enjoyable. Interior...More

Ate here and had a beer a few times when we in Alice Springs on a job. The venue is spotless, the staff are professional and friendly, and the food and beverage options were reasonably priced and there was a decent selection. The outside is...More

For some reason, we found many of the Trip Advisor-recommended restaurants closed on Sunday-Tuesday in February. Sporties was open. Its full menu was not available, but we were able to get a serviceable Caesar salad. Looked like they were mostly set up for social beer...More

Walked in the place, sat down and soon was ordering some dinner that ended up being very good. Dinner came out fast, the staff were never pushy but also kept checking up on us. I fully recommend as a mid priced beer and food place.

We stopped here on a very hot day for lunch. The food was quick, and very tasty. It felt a bit expensive for a lunch restaurant, but it appears the same menu is used for lunch and dinner, so dinner prices seemed more reasonable. Would...More

It seemed to be birthday night when we visited, which meant there was a good vibe. Food was reasonably priced and nicely cooked with Australian sized portions. I ate barramundi fish covered with spicy sauce (sounds awful but was very tasty) whereas partner had chicken...More

Have visited Sporties several times previously and it is a pleasant enough Bar , not that big, but the outside area is better as inside can get very loud depending on the clientele ! Good for a quick drink or two ?

Basic cafe style seating. Staff were efficient and pleasant. Sadly food was pretty mediocre. Nothing bad about it but nothing good. Large portions but bland. It was cheap compared with other Alice restaurants. You get what you pay for!

Stopped long enough for a couple of drinks which were reasonably priced, but never had the chance to eat as they only had a small table tucked away for single diners. Not what I had in mind, so that's where we parted ways.

Desert Garden Hotel is a daytrip from Alice - return - not worth the travel for a meal. If you decide to stay in Alice for a few days, Sporties would be a good place for a meal - yes you can book and they will put some... More
