Had been keen on giving the Wednesday special a go for some time - buy one pound of wings, get one free. After quite a long wait I took my dinner home just down the road. While the chips were fabulous (though the $5 portion tiny) I was a bit disappointed to get home and find everything slapped into the... More

Staying in an adjacent hotel in central Darwin and this licensed cafe recommended by hotel staff and locals. Good location and great cafe style menu. Staff friendly and efficient and the quality and quantity of meals was from cut above what might have been expected of this type of venue. Price range also good and a suitable range of wine... More

A good range of food and drinks, and a courteous, gregarious ex-Canadian host who takes his responsibilities for quality food and beverages seriously.

Great location with a vast selection of pizzas, pasta, burgers and seafood. Good prices and fast service. It had the feeling of busy customers, having a quick but healthy (some of it!) meal on their way out for the night. Not fast food and not a romantic location, more of a convenience stop with a buzzing atmosphere. Great customer service... More

We went here for lunch and it was ok. The food arrived quickly with big servings but it wasn't fantastic. There were so many items on the menu it made you think how could they do all these foods fresh & well? The service was nice and attentive. The food was not horrible but did not excite me to want... Ordered a pasta on a wim. Had the most delicious fettuccine carbonara ever and I don't mean that lightly. The chef told me it would be great and he was spot on. Yum Yum. They even included heaps of extra Parmesan cheese. Thanks.

Thank you for the feedback. Carbonara sauce is a temperamental one to create fresh, as we do for each order. Pasta houses are known to premake it, reducing time and removing failure risks. I don't believe in this. I'd rather it take a little longer and make it right. "Proof is in the pasta". 😀 More

Very accommodating at short notice. Food was fresh and servings were good sized. Will go again. Can be a bit squishy due to fixed tables, but staff were helpful and made the night enjoyable.

We were starving at 230 pm and had nowhere to go since most restaurants close at 230 pm. This one came as a pleasant surprise. Wasn't our first choice but ended up going there. Ordered Spaghetti and pesto sauce gnocchi.. loved it both! Amazed at how good the food was.. specially the gravy in the gnocchi with sundried tomatoes was... More

Hi 5shyams I'm glad you found us and your appetite was satisfied. You are correct in that not many places are open during afternoon hours but Salvatores Cafe located in the heart of the city should be. And it is! Thanks for taking the time. Sean More
