Upmarket Italian in Fortitude Valley. In the Emporium complex (plenty of restaurants to choose from here) lies Tartufo, a restaurant with a split personality. High end Italian and wood fired pizza (see caters for all tastes). Very good cocktail selection: the Apple Martinis excellent. Exceptional wine list (much of it aged) but be prepared to bring a large chequebook. The... More

Loved the dishes I tried but leader of them all was the bugs in pasta. Can't recall ever having a pasta dish that tasted that good. Service! With much more than a smile, was excellent. The restaurant offers an amazing Italian feel with its decor. The restaurant was full (go figure) so a little hard to have conversation with those... More

Large, up-market, cafe style restaurant with nostalgic Italian imagery. The very large room is noisy, so its not the place I'd go to for an intimate dinner. Suites small to medium sized groups 4-10, larger and you wont hear people at the other end of the table. Extensive drinks options and wine menu. Lovely food - modern Italian and contemporary.... Tartufo is the only place I will go to for pizza. It tastes authentically Italian and it's absolutely heaven.

The porchetta was yummy. It was not prettified, but it did not need to be. This is what I call good honest and very tasty food.

If it is a fabulous pizza or a fine dining occasion, just go. You will not regret it. The service alone, without the food, is worth the trip.

This is not the best Italian food I have eaten, but it is a long way ahead of most. Visited recently for my 18 year old Son's birthday. The service was very attentive without being intrusive. We started with a selection of starters which we tasty and well presented. Of the mains, our party chose the beef, the Bangalow pork... More

Simply outstanding! Service was impeccable and the food (and choice) was amazing. My favourite Italian in Brisbane, no others are even close.

An interesting blend of fine diner on one side and pizzeria on the other side of this wonderful space. An unashamed rip off of Balthazar in NYC, Tartufo has brought life and vitality to this elegant space that its predecessor Belle Epoque could only dream about. The regular antipasti fare is complemented by some inspired primi piatti - don't miss... More
